This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night
Default Maybe I'm Challenged
Okay so, I read on the forums that people can play different households in the same neighborhood. I've been having so much trouble with this game from the old games I feel like a idiot trying to relearn things.

Anyways my problem is, I want to play a different household in the neighborhood I've been playing in. Can somebody lay the steps out how I do that? I currently have a family I've been playing in Riverview for the past few days.

So many things bother me in this game i'm thinking about going back to the Sims 2........

If i can remember well:

You save your current household then go to Options and Edit Town. There you choose Change household or something(sorry,my version is in my native language!). Then you can choose either an existing household or create a new one.

Hope it helped!
Coffee, anyone?

Edit town is right. Change house hold is located in the little puck to the left of the screen. It's cleverly hidden.

Also, make sure you save your game as Save As... and name the file. I made the mistake of just using the Save option when I changed households, and everything disappeared from my sims' inventories except their guitars and trashy romance novels. All the fish, veggies , learning books and , worst of all, the collection helper were totally zapped. Feature or bug? You decide. :p

I'm worried that my latest Salvation Army donation will result in homeless people looking like sluts from the 90s.

Thanks for info, have been wanting to know the answer to this "not at all so silly" question since I began playing Sims 3 last Friday, I've made three households in total. The sims I made didnt't have the relationships made with npc sims such Gunther Goth and so on.

I was really getting annoyed with the game as in Sims 2 my sims socialised with eachother within the neighbourhood whenever I created them, this can still happen right?

Yeah, your sims can still get to know NPCs, you just have to actually meet them first.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.
