This guy needs some help with his mod... [REPOST]
So, this man needs some help with his mod...He is trying to replicate the BMW M3 GTR from Need for Speed: Most Wanted and is facing a few issues:
1-The wheels don't move!
2- The headlights and taillights don't light up when it's nighttime.
3- There is a texture bug when using the "Enable Advanced Rendering" graphics option.
4- The car isn't recolorable.
Please, if you have any experience in modding, help him out. Here's the link of the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItmG5npaAG0
NOTE: If you want to download a beta of the mod, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4Ujio-ywiU

The issue right here might be because they didn't use bones. Without the bones, the wheels will not animate. I've made a small tutorial on how to add bones to a car a while back right here: http://modthesims.info/showthread.p...744#post5102744
Now if i'm right, the headlights should light up when the bones are correctly assigned. Else, I would try cloning a car that's about the same height and same type because the lights are effects after all.
The Enabled advanced Rendering is just an in-game bug. So there isn't exactly a fix for that.
And for the car not being recolourable, make sure you have a mask for the car. Here is a tutorial about masks: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...:_Designer_Rugs (Scroll all the way to 'making the mask').
EDIT: Looking at the video now, it's indeed the bump map since if you don't check enabled advanced rendering, the game won't be rendering bump maps.
To see how to make a bump map, I would recommend checking this tutorial (it's a CASpart tutorial but it's the same progress): http://greenplumbboblover.tumblr.co...-for-the-sims-3

I just got a reply from the creator. He told me he won't be able to fix the issues. He also told me it would be more efficient for a professional modder to fix the issues. So, are you up for the job?
