I'm having an issue with this. I created sub folders, then wanted to delete one of them. It won't let me. I select to delete it, and it's still there... What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I am seeing a lot of disabled mods in this program. Could you please tell me how I can enable them again? I was wondering how a boat load of things disappeared from my game.
Thank you

I am all set ... watched a youtube vid. Gotta love the tutorials on youtube!

I can't get to the mod manager anymore. It's a really good program!! But when I open it now, says it's open, but I can't see it and get it to open to where I can use it. I've tried deleting it and reinstalling and I even changed the config, but it didn't help. It happened after I downloaded the modconflictdetector, so I deleted that, but it's still going on.

Did you try the Bug work around that's on the bottom of the home page?

Bug Workaround

First workaround found by marvinpunz:

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
Choose Task Manager
Right-click on The Sims 4 Mod Manager
Click Expand
Right-click the newly expanded item
Click Bring to front
Click Maximize

Second workaround found by sim508:

Make sure The Sims 4 Mod Manager is closed
Go to %USERPROFILE%\Documents\TS4 Mod Manager
Open the file config.ini
Change location to match the following:
Code:

[window]

location = 0, 0

Save and try opening The Sims 4 Mod Manager again

Third workaround found by rpastorcale:

Hover over the icon for The Sims 4 Mod Manager
Wait for the preview to show
Right-click on the preview and click Maximize

To prevent this bug

The best way to prevent this bug from happening is to not close TS4MM while it is minimized.
This bug happens because I made it so that the location of the window on your screen would be saved to a configuration file, so that when you open TS4MM again, it would be in the same place you last opened it.

I'm having an issue with installing and making sure the correct path is picked. when I select the path it will not let me select the mods Sims 4 📁 and when I try to change the path by clicking browse it only lists the word document and shows that the directory is not in the users\documents\electronicarts\sims4\mods folder

Default Thanks and thanks again
My Mod Manager quit on me I uninstalled then reinstalled and it never showed up, so I decided to head to Google to see why I could not get it to come up off the taskbar and when I googled sims mod manager I got this as the first result:

Mod The Sims - The Sims 4 Mod Manager
modthesims.info/d/534991
Dec 26, 2014 - If your mod manager window does not show up on screen after running, please refer to "Bug Workaround" near the bottom of the page.

And ummm the workaround worked - the expand - bring to front - maximize!

Thanks for the great program and helpful bug fix.

Cheers!

Might not be helpful, but on mine it just goes to Sims 4 not mods. If that is the question? Because I tend to normally be less helpful that I think I am being.

Uuugh.. it would be nice if it said anywhere that it was Windows only. Got my hopes up, but what am I supposed to do with this worthless EXE file?

You can make a Windows partition on your Mac and use an OS that can actually run games and mods, unlike a "worthless" mac. http://lifehacker.com/384256/have-y...-with-boot-camp

Or use a program like WineBottler to run it http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/

I already have my mods organized into folders, etc., and this manager only reads one file deep. Is there any way to get it to read deeper than that?

So here's what i got with the famous manager.
First of all i got 4 folders in my Mods folder, i initiated mods manager with the folder then i decided 2 remove 2 of my folders (walls & floors ; objects) i only wanted to appear in the manager my 2 others. I tried everything, the 2 folders i moved wouldnt go away from the manager. I tried reset, i tried refreshing the path to the mod folder but nothing, they still were in my manager. Since i moved my 2 folders in a USB key wich was unplugged, i decided i would simply delete the 2 folders in the manager. The manager said operation successfull then i found out that it deleted the 2 folders remaining i wanted to keep. AMAZING. I checked the manager log, because i couldnt believe what just happened. It deleted everything remaining and my logs say :
[6/27/2017 10:51 ]: Checking validity of directories...
[6/27/2017 10:51 ]: Populating mod list...
[6/27/2017 10:51 ]: Category "Walls & Floor" successfully removed.

Thanks.. Love the Manager.. Hay I was wanting to ask you if you can find a way to have the mod manager ignore desktop.ini files.. I spent the last 2 days custom making icons for the categories folders, so they would match the type of mods in them.. The problem is that windows puts a desktop.ini file in each folder that I change the icons for.. Mod Manager sees the ini file and shows it as an error file.. Needless to say that with 24 categories I have a miss count of mods and 24 showing that I can't check.

Try this.. Uncheck all the mods in your Manager then move all the mods to the desktop.. Refresh the manager and make sure all the mods are removed from both the games mod folder and the managers.. Put the mods back in your manager and refresh it.. Recheck all the mods in the manager.. Hope this helps..

Just to let you know... Some mod makers have their mads script files setup so you can't have them zipped up.. So they show in the manager as an error and not a script file.. The mod works in game, but if you zip it so the manager sees it as a script file the mod stops working.. Example is all the script files for mcc command mod.
