Hello,

I played with modding tools back in Sims, 2, 3 and I am enjoying Sims 4 now, forever disavowing the formers.
I saw something in the options under mods that made me think I might be able to get in on the modding action a bit more this time around.
There was a section for scripting mods... I dont see anything about those in the tutorial list or in other posts so since its still a young game, I thought I would ask.

I may be simply revealing my own ignorance but are 'script mods' something new for 4? To me it sounded like a nice, comprehensive, scripting language was included.
I did read something about py files... I know python.

If someone could give me a gently shove in the right direction, would be so appreciated.

There is no separate forum for scripting mods right now, but look in the (general) Modding Discussion forum here: http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=701 -- there's several threads about that topic. Also take a look at the offical EAxian documentation if you haven't already. Link is in the sticky above you (also stickified separately in Discussion).

(Scripting isn’t totally new for TS4, but it’s officially supported for the first time. And yes, it's all based on python so if you know that already, you have a head start).

I found some of that right after posting, but the reassurances on my other inklings was also very helpful. Thanks A bunch :D
