The problem with working with .obj files is the lost Bone (aka Joint) Assignments. If this is for an object with no animations or interactions, than losing those assignments is not such a big deal. But with a CAS part, that is a pain.

There is some better explanations here http://my.modthesims.info/showthrea...ort+export+.obj
...which is also not the only thread that explains it.
You can search for the others if you want to read about how to deal with them. And get these, among other threads:
- http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=441673
- http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=482725

Or, you might be lucky and someone may come along and explain it all better than I did (or could).

Besides losing the joint/bonedata Wings also messes up the normals(shading) on import.(export?)
Or atleast it did in my version....

The bones are not the biggest problem as you can easilt reassigne them with toolkit.
But to do so you still need milkshape to convert the file to WSO.
Another problem is that you do not have all the morphs(fit/fat etc) when exporting to obj.
