Default A very basic question
The Al Bundy pack got a better response than I had hoped for, so I've modelled an object that Al himself is very proud of: The Ferguson toilet.

I hardly know anything about importing meshes to The Sims 3, does anyone know of a basic tutorial on how to import objects in the game? At the moment, TSR Workshop doesn't support this feature.

I don't know if this is exactly what you are asking for, there is a tut here: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=363856.

It looks like you have a nice mesh + textures, and want to use them. What people are doing is cloning a suitable game item, and substituting their mesh and textures for the originals. It is basically a simple process, but of course, there are details to manage (shadow meshes and DDS conversion, for two) that have confused some people.

If you like to say what you think, be sure you know which to do first.
