Thank you for this. I have had a fire place in nearly every place I have lived in and not once has one ever set fire to anything. Where as in the sims it happens insanely often!

I didn't even realize that my sim could start a fire via the fireplace. And, honestly, without firefighters to save them, I'm all for lowering or even removing altogether the chances of something catching fire. Thanks for your hard work!

Thanks for this mod, my fireplace was setting something on fire on a daily basis, but then would say the fire was inaccessible to extinguish and no sprinklers would come out either. You have saved my sim world from going up in flames...tempting as that might be.

thank you my sims house even tho the fireplaces are fully up grated keep starting a fire every five seconds!!!! i just want to lessen the chances a little

It's still working, as far as I can see in my game (so far.. haven't checked 'all fireplaces) but I use a lot of cc fireplaces. @macthekat

I survived a house fire as a kid and constant fires in the sims was...not fun. This mod makes game play so much more enjoyable for me. Works on the regular and custom fire places I've tried. THANK YOU
