Tutorial: No Road Hood
Tutorial: No Road Hood
By Hydromancerx

This tutorial will allow you to build an entire hood with no roads at all! You will end up with a huge map of 6x6 lots all aligned into a grid.

1. Make a new hood using the "Roads.sc4" file below.

2. The map should be a bunch of horizontal roads that are 5 tiles apart from each other. Fill in the map with empty 6x5 lots so there is no space between them.

3. When you are done make a new hood called "Blank Map" and use the "Blank.sc4" file below.

4. Once made leave it alone and then make a third hood called "Road Map" and use "Roads.sc4" file below.

5. Exit out of the Sims 2.

6. Use Mootilda's HoodReplace v2.3 to replace your first hood with the "Blank Map" hood.

7. Open back up The Sims 2 and view your hood. You should now have no roads at all.

8. Edit a lot however you want and use "moveObjects on" cheat to delete the road floor tiles.

9. If you want to add already made 6x5 lots to your hood just repeat step 6 but replace it with the "Roads Map" to return the roads to you map. This will allow you to move or adjust lots.

10. To completely remove any roads on your lot use Mootilda's LotAdjuster 2.8 to completely remove the road from that lot. Doing this will remove the "phantom road" on the lot when you view the road from hood view.

Note: This technique can be used for just about any configuration of roads. However the "Road Map" give you maximum coverage of your hood.

Thanks for reading and happy Simming!
