Okay, let's see... I don't have anything recent (ie. within the past 2-3 years) but these are the best I've got. They're too big, so I had to link to them:

So does my mom. She raves about it. ...Should I even add that it was my first time trying charcoal? I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon though, so I've had a lot of practice otherwise.

Aww, thankies, you two! Anybody can draw, if you just practice. I promise you! But you have to actually make an effort. Most people who just say, "Aw, I suck at drawing" haven't really TRIED that hard. But of course, it's only as important as you want it to be.

Wow, those are so cute, anna! Very nice shading on your self-portret too, I wish I could shade that well with charcoal/pencils/anything else 8D

Keep up the good work! n_n

I love the texture on the Self-Portrait! It looks so real at the final "wispy" style ends, and the Shadow of, well, hair! Lovely!
I wish My Charcoal efforts were as strong as that, Whenever I use it, things turn out like a black hole of doom... I've tried lots, Its always the same, Luckily I can make up for it with my "Jagged Cartoon" (as I named it :p) Style of Pencil Drawings that are in my doodle book, (a book I use in Lessons when I'm bored)
Think pop art, with random Detail and sim-sy style Fetures.. And your half way there!
One day I'll scan some stuff in... Perhaps.

Thankies! You've made my day!

princelee, yes, I've done some other portraits, mostly in pencil, one in pen, and they turned out pretty well if I do say so myself.
