The plug creative stuff you do thread
The talk in the thread about dream jobs got me thinking about some of the creative stuff I do for fun. I mean if you can't get your dream job you can still play around and have some fun doing stuff that is kind of related to it so while this may be a pretty pointless thread I just thought it would be fun to have a thread where people can plug the creative stuff that they do for fun that may be up on the web for others to see. That is one of the great things about the internet if you ask me, it gives you a chance to be creative in fields that you may not be able to get a job in and get feedback so if you have creative stuff you do, no matter how bad it is you can post it here.

Oh and if this violates any forum rules I am sorry and will under stand if it gets taken down.

First I will plug my fan fiction, I know writing fan fiction is seen as kind of sad but I find it gives me a way to get feedback on my writing quickly and improve it. A word of warning all of these stories are in the middle of being edited so there are spelling and grammar mistakes that I am fixing and I will be finishing all the unfinished stories it's just that when I am off my meds I find spelling and writing really hard to do and I am now working on my own novels that I hope to publish on Kindle some time next year. Any way for whatever it is worth here is my fan fiction that is in very rough shape in some places. Feel free to mock it and tell me what is wrong with it if you want to, I find negative feedback very helpful.

Here is my Youtube page. I have to make these videos with a $30 camera and cheap or free programs on my computer that I am still learning how to use. Also my local library's internet cuts out some times for odd reasons so some of the videos are uploaded out of order in addition to looking kind of rough but I think I am getting better so for whatever it is worth, enjoy. Oh and there are some Sims 3 videos on the page

Do you have anything creative you do for fun, if so I would love to see it. Post about it here.

Well for whatever this thread is worth I hope someone enjoys it, have fun.

I love fanfics! I never share them, but the first one I wrote was about my (at the time) favourite game, "SSX Tricky". It was kind of smutty, with my favourite character Psymon and an original character that was just a stand in for me... What can I say? I was a hormone filled pre-teen :P
I tried a more serious fanfic when I was a bit older, with "Dragonball Z". No smut, all action and drama with the focus on an original character.
I've only showed the first chapter to a few people.
The last fanfic I wrote (and only showed my partner the first chapter) was basically just written porn too... Based on a couple of characters from "Leave it to Beaver".
I literally cannot write fiction for more than 10 minuets without getting bored if it's not smutty. It's a character flaw of mine, but I've accepted it... XD

I used to draw. I wasn't improving at a rate that I was happy with, so I got frustrated and I don't do it much any more. Specially my colouring/shading skills, I'm so crappy at shading, like I have no eye for it. I have a DeviantArt but some of it is VERY old (like, 9 years) and the newest is like 3 years old. I've drawn since, and improved, but I just haven't uploaded anything in ages. Honestly, I'm a little embarrassed by some of the pictures on there (and also by the fact that there's not much on there) but hey, never mind.
I've tried digital art, like pixel art, I'm great at outlines but colouring is too hard for me due to my lack of shading skills.
I'm also ok at meshing, specially low-poly meshes. I've learned how to add skeletons and love posing them for pictures but I'd really love to learn how to animate them, also get better at texturing them.

I craft sometimes, I crochet, I sometimes make chainmail jewellery, I keep trying knitting but I can't get it yet, I'm trying to get better at hand-sewing by making doll clothes.

Funny it's the smutty stuff that bores me

I like getting into the heads of the characters and asking "what if?" in a way TV shows and games just can't. Some times I get blocked and run out of my meds so I can't write but I do enjoy fixing plot holes or bad plot arcs and it is a great way to get feedback on your writing in quick order, and I love that because it really helps me.

As some who can't draw a straight line I am impressed with anyone who can produce art, good going.

I don't have much to plug, besides my website (in my signature).

There are a few writing projects I'm working on, but they're not online and I still need to do plenty of work before they're open for con-crit.

My "designs" involve writing crybaby stuff about mentally beating myself up. Then I scour stock photo provided by users and professional sites to hack together a mishmash of ideas in hopes that it says something. Actually there is a message I'm trying to send, but I have no idea how much of it is being accurately expressed without being seen as just noise.

I work hard on them and they may seem artsy to me, but nobody leaves comments. Maybe I'm just oblivious to how obvious a hand job to myself they are to other people. Maybe I'm not using deviantart the right way.

My main project is to make an unofficial continuation of an MMO that has been abandoned by its developers. Now that I've got a small audience hyped up for that sequel, I can't just walk away and let them down.

Check out this blog for progress on said remake. The interactive story was a rough draft.

I suck at fanfiction. The only one I have on my FF account is some lame one from when I was 11

And then I have really bad videos on YouTube that I don't feel like sharing

Yeah my first fanfiction and youtube videos sucked really bad but one of the things I like about the two sites is that no only did people tell me they sucked by some of them told me exactly what I was doing wrong and worked with me to fix them so I got better at both over all.

So yeah I can understand not wanting to share but for me personally sucking is how I got better and that is why I still value negative feedback when people give it.

I get what you're saying, but I mainly don't want to share because they're embarrassing XD
