@Emmett Brown ahaha how morbid. "You cannot enter Edit Town when sims is dying". Makes it sound like they have some sort of long term disease.

There was an interesting question about replacing the late night taxis with busses but I'm not good at with complicated meshes + animations so my fake busses roll around like this now:

EDIT:

ahahaha, I tried my hand at posing. I was just testing how sim's body moves, then tested how the fingers align, and of course, how does the face move. Then I decided to test the monstrosity in game with a real sim and if the whole file will even be recognised. Well, I happened to have been playing with the Cook family in Bridgeport as I have been trying to figure out the above bus dilemma. And Lady Cook happened to be the sim I had selected the last time I fired up the game. I must had been subconsciously channelling her cos I probably couldn't have created more snobbish pose even if I tried.

So Isaw this shitty old car today and immediately realised that, huh, that must be what they based the Sloppy Jaloppy on. It just looked really really similar.
But I didn't pay attention to what brand or model it was, so all I know is that it's one of those woefully dreadful cheap Japanese hatchbacks from the early 80s. I was thinking it was a Corolla, but even Corollas aren't quite that shitty. And like the in-game car it had a really slanted C-pillar, unlike any Corolla. Das internet says it's a Ford Escort but it wasn't, because it was quite a bit shittier than a Ford Escort.
Anyone have any idea what it could've been?

EDIT: 1978/1983 Mitsubishi Colt. Rusty, beige. I feel sorry for whoever owns or owned that car.

That's a classic car! Plus, it's newer than mine.

Cars that approximate age are the rarest there are.
You'll occasionally, maybe a handful of times a day, see a car from the early 90s, and sometimes even the late 80s if it's a good car. And of course there's always a few 50/60s classics, but 70s/early 80s cars are exceedingly rare. I just had a look out of the window and out of the 25 or so cars I could identify, only one could possibly have been made before the year 2000.
I know there's a lady down the street who owns a Golf GTI and a Scirocco GTI, both late 80s models and tricked out, but other than that I don't recall any of the 60 or so cars in my street being quite as old. And that makes sense considering I live in the kind of neighborhood where people get their cars off the job. So it's mostly generic leased models like Polos, Fiestas, Passats, Astras and various mildly embarassing Toyota compacts.

So, my sims Lucy and Rajan got married in a Local Watering Hole. This is their favorite spot, it does not look like a "hole" at all. The party was great. It was HUGE. Everybody cried at how cute their first slow dance was.
That same evening they went to France for their honeymoon. They spent the first day and night together, visited all interesting and beautiful places, took photos, drank coffee and nectar, bought an incense holder, a treasure chest, some local books, some recipes, had woohoo... The rest of the honeymoon Lucy spent adventuring, almost ignoring Rajans existance...I know, I know... But what can I do, it's her lifetime wish and her biggest interest. She collected a lot of relics, precious stones and all that stuff. She found some really expensive stuff, and since they are planning to have a baby, they need all the money they can get.
Anyways, soon the honeymoon was over, and as soon as they came back home - there was a burglar on their lot. Luckily, they had that squeaky anti-burglar system installed, so, a police officer came and kicked the sh*t out of the burglar. He did not manage to steal anything. What a relief! At least Lucy thought so... As soon as the police officer left their house she noticed that Rajan is acting very strangely - his eyes were blank and he was mumbling something to himself...almost...in another language?.. At first she thought that Rajan is in deep shock after the burglar incident, so she tried to comfort him by hugging him, but at that exact moment he just ran out of the house like crazy. Weird! Lucy ran after him. She found him standing in the middle of the street and looking up in the skies.
- What is wrong with him? - the police officer asked while standing next to her car.
- He's a lunatic! - the burglar shouted, the officer did not like it, so she smacked him on the back of his head.
- What is happening, Rajan? - said Lucy, slowly walking towards him.
- Ryitnghsprointhsoawi...blewr... - he responded.
And then it happened.
Colourful lights appeared all around Rajan, and a strange noise filled the surrounding area. The sound was so scary, Lucy felt it in her bones. She knew something is very, very wrong. She stepped away from the scene and put her hands on her tummy - she got scared for the new life forming inside her...
- Rajan please, let's go inside the house, - she whispered, but Rajan was in some kind of a trance and did not hear her.
Suddenly, a freaking ALIEN CRAFT APPEARED. WHAT?! Aliens? In Sunset Valley?! Blue beam caught Rajan, and it seemed that at that moment he snapped out of the trance, he began screaming with horror, trying to grab on something, but there was nothing to hold on to... Both the officer and Lucy jumped forward in hopes of grabbing Rajan, but there was not enough time. A second later he was gone. Aliens were gone. Lights were gone. Something else appeared. Dead silence. Everybody just looked at each other with their mouths open...

My Nothing is Free Challenge is finally beginning to look like a little town! As it stands, we've got Dot's Market and Jabari's Diner. Then, when Prima was made real I had her go and purchase the graveyard plot and raise it to 2 stars. I chose the mausoleum that looks like a small chapel from Aurora Springs put some buy debug stones down as well as the death fish spawner and the fresh water marker. It's really pretty. I kind of want to put a wedding arch in there, or is that too morbid?

I designated the large lot across the street from the diner and grocery as a big park; once Samir masters logic he'll buy it, build it up, marry Prima and move out. I plopped down and purchased a small 2 bedroom house and I'm having Dorothy and Jabari move there before the baby gets here. I realized that I have no desire to play them and raise any more of their babies.

I am in a big hurry to get this town built up, but I realized something, once a sim has reached their mastery and purchased their lot I'm kind of done. I think for the next generation I won't skill grind from childhood. It makes adulthood rather dull for me the player. Does anyone know what happens if your sim achieve their LTW before aging up to YA? Do they get to choose a new one is is it locked in? Can you imagine if you achieved everything you ever wanted to at 18?

I think this is the same thought that keeps running through my head when the funeral home is advertising their party room. They show people having a memorial/celebration of life event in it, but the way they are advertising it makes it sound (at least to me) as though they would not be terribly surprised to have a wedding reception or a baby shower booked in it. (Although they would probably be very surprised if there was much of a guest list...)

I would add the wedding arch. Then again, I'm weird.

Gratuitous pics of the graveyard I made. It kind of reminds me of the church at the end of Funny Face so now I really want to find a tea length lacy wedding gown and marry someone off there. These were taken on a cold spring day in the morning when there had been a frost. I'm trying not to think about how all of the flowering plants, trees and bushes are spring blooming and wouldn't be blooming throughout the year. Does anyone know if season markers can be used to simulate how seasons change in a garden by switching out spring blooming plants for summer and fall?

I dodged a fucking bullet. On the last day of her pregnancy, I moved Dorothy, Jabari, and their favorite dog out to a small 2 bedroom in town. Just after midnight that night, I get a notification that she'd had boy/girl twins! No. No. No nononononononono. So glad to not be managing 2 adults, 2 YA, 5 teens, 2 babies, and 4 dogs! You know you've been playing an overstuffed household for a while when playing "just" 7 sims and 3 dogs feels like a break.

Hmm.
I zoom out, and I can hear fire burning somewhere. I began scrolling around the neighborhood, listening carefully, and I managed to locate the residence from which the sound was coming. My neighbors house. Nraas Master Controller helped me to open up the house. There it is - on the second floor - a bed just burning on it's own. And then this dude comes from downstairs, and he has his son and a kitten attached to him There was no fire alarm, but the firefighter came anyways.
I have never seen anything like this.

I have a werewolf-fairy couple who had six werewolf children in a row, so I went into CAS and changed the youngest into a fairy. Now he's a hybrid, which I didn't know could happen. He can do some werewolf interactions like hunting and complaining about werewolf curse, but he's also got wings and can give fairy dust. He can't transform into a werewolf, but when I go into CAS I can switch between human and wolf view. Once he's a teen I'll see if he can play fight or play fairy tricks.

Hybrids happen normally when you have the Hybrid mod from NRAAS.

I don't have that mod, but I do have other nraas mods. Looking at the summary of the mod, it seems like he's assigned both fairy and werewolf, but he can only perform fairy interactions. He's aged up now and can't hunt anymore or do any other werewolf interactions. He still shows up as a wolf in CAS, though.

I sent my sims back to the present and then gave the town a new police officer to bother them. Since I'm playing all Pokémon villains, I threw Officer Nanu in there. Should probably make Looker but ah well. Gave him a cat too.

Yeah but it was taking me long enough. And he can adopt more. Plus I just gave him a 10x10 house so there's not enough room to have six cats.

Used some cheaties to make it so my witch and her fairy wife could have a baby together. I justify it in my head as, "magic".

Damn, that first pic really got me thinking about the potential of using fire as a light source. I reckon it's possible to have a permanent fire somewhere it can't hurt anyone.

@GrijzePilion you can use the pit trap in buydebug for random fire on the lot or the effects machine for something smaller

The lag was unbearable, so I moved to a smaller town, which involved a few hiccups along the way because Sims. Still, yay for fresh starts!
Of course, the fanily took a few townies with them, which required some tweaking...
"So you're pregnant.... can you...uh... give birth right now?"
"I just got pregnant...can you wait three days?"
"NO. You'll just have to get pregnant again. What's wrong with the lady over there?"
"She says she can't travel with that mark on her neck."
"....."
And so on. :p

This happened in my game a week go, but whatever:

I started playing with Taliso Bedri, a self-assured, slightly snobistic young lady who aspires to be a star news anchor one day.

To advance in her career, she took Writing and Charisma lessons in town. The latter was in the city hall, where a serious demonstration was going on. She took advantage of it and tried to socialize a bit with her new neighbours.
Most of them weren't really interested in her, they were busy, but one guy looked hopeless and pathetic enough to be so surprised with her talking to a mob with limbs like him, so she chose him to use as a guide around the town.

And it worked: others were surprised and curious to know who was so stupid to talk to dumb Xander Clavell, who can't even get a proper job and still lives with his poor parents in his late twenties.
