Default Blocked from Pinterest
Hello everyone . So sorry to bother you, but I ran into a problem on Pinterest. I made Sims 2-themed boards to help other players find things, and this site has been super-helpful. It's the first place I go when pinning picture links to various downloads. Heck, it forms the very backbone of most of my boards. Last week, or the week before, I ran into a problem. For some reason, Pinterest is blocking MTS. I can't pin any pictures because I get that notice that says the link might lead to "inappropriate" content, and I can't use any existing MTS picture pins because Pinterest thinks that it will lead to spam.

I have no idea why they would say this, considering this is one of the most family-friendly Sims 2 sites on the internet. The ads aren't a problem for me because I use ad-blockers. I'm not sure what they mean by misleading links. Every time I used to use a picture link to come here, it would take me to the appropriate page. It's really disheartening not to be able to help others find good stuff on MTS. Is it possible for you to talk to them and change their minds?

Some people are incredibly narrowminded. It could be something on mts I guess, but it could also be sexysims perhaps?

I thought SexySims was separate from MTS. I mean, they have a warning about it being an 18+ site, and deliberately ask any visitors if they're over 18. Also, who would want to pin pictures from that?

It's possible that someone who doesn't have ad-blockers was whining and complaining. But that still doesn't help anyone who wants to make pins here.

Hmm...I'll send another ticket to the Pinterest Help Center, see what happens.

It's possible they are complaining about the "Skintones" section, which *can* contain blurred out nudity.

Story books are full of fairy tales, of Kings and Queens, and the bluest skies.

In fact don't some sites simply scan the colours to see if there are large expanses of flesh-like color?

Pinterest can't be doing that? Perhaps combined with shape recognition. There must be lots of architecture pictures that has lots of light woods or similar.

"It's possible they are complaining about the "Skintones" section, which *can* contain blurred out nudity."

As far as I can tell, usually the creators cover up anything offensive on the model Sims. No reason to complain about that. Some modders even use black bars, swimsuits, underwear, or just plain head & shoulders shots.

This doesn't help with saving new Pins, but you can still follow links that are already pinned by right-clicking the image and selecting 'Open in New Tab'. Or clicking with your middle mouse button if you have one. Hope they fix this soon!

Wonderful news! Pinterest unblocked MTS! Yay!!!

I tested out a pin I'd made a few months ago when I was working on my board for Ancient Korean fashions for Sims. It works! You can pin pictures from here again, yay!!!!

Since flesh comes is a huge array of shades I doubt they would do that.

While that's true, porn is not a bastion of racial diversity (or of other kinds of diversity, let's face it).

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.
