Default Tutorial for apartments over a community lot (Solved)
I did this once before, and to my surprise, it worked. Usually, I will bookmark the site or e-mail the URL to myself; or download the .rar or copy-paste or something. For some reason, I didn't do it this time. It was on a LiveJournal or Tumblr, I believe. Unfortunately, I can't remember who wrote it. It involved the Lot and/or Grid Adjuster, and you had to move one lot directly over the other. The building had some limitations, such as loading screens, but did work. Does anyone know where this tutorial is? Thanks in advance.

I thought so at first, but no. I know the overall technique, but I can't remember the specfics. You made a residential lot and a community lot, used Grid Adjuster magic to actually superimpose the lots on top of each other, and fixed windows, doors ,etc. I can't remember the specific settings, though. Google is not my friend here. I don't want a completed lot. I want to remember how to do it myself again.

EDIT ... It was Lot Adjuster. My bad!

Yes, I've got it bookmarked somewhere - I've done it several times including the Moonraker's Arms in Polgannon. Hang on a minute.

Edit: yes, it was someone called ThreadandSandpaper and is here:
http://threadandsandpaper.dreamwidth.org/5129.html

Sadly it's had an attack of the Photofukkits.

I have to say I found that tutorial a bit fiddly - when I've done it, I've found you can fiddle things round and make it all fit. You need to start with flat lots and then it's a case of counting up and down. I didn't use Numenor's unlevelled walls - I used CFE if I needed to. But whatever. Maybe you can still make sense of it. It's a real shame about the pictures. The OP called them Stacked Lots.

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

Found the little devil! It was DREAMWIDTH. Doy. Sorry, folks. (I see maxon found them as well. Yes ... Stacked Lots was probably what I should have used in the search term. Grid Adjuster as a search term brought it up in Pinterest, though, even though I believe this used Lot Adjuster, and since I am registered with Pinterest, I didn't have to go through the nonsense there.)

While waiting for the next theme, I thought I'd challenge myself a little. This is more intermediate than advanced-beginner, but the results can be quite pleasing! I'm bookmarking and copy/pasting THIS one right away. Thanks for trying to help, all. I had to comb through pin after pin, but Pinterest was actually helpful, for once!

I have that PB app that still allows certain PB pictures to show up, but I might indeed want to copy/paste and stick in the PB pictures in a word document in case PB decides to be a b!@#$%% about this. I'm saving the pictures to my machine (making sure I did indeed save them!) even as I'm writing this.

EDIT ... and while I treat these as apartment-esque, these aren't apartments. I use Myne doors or Inge's doors to fake apartments. Sorry!

You might save the pictures Gazania if you can still see them - either for your own use or to upload the tutorial with illustrations somewhere. What a PITA Photofukkit has been - is going.

I've been doing that with several PB-d pictures. I am really concerned that one day, we'll try to find these tutorials or other pictures, and the pictures will be completely gone. I already saw this happen with one helpful tutorial after EA wiped out the Exchange. You cannot find the pictures anymore, save for the main picture.

I did a very rough version ... the layout stinks. I'm on my test machine right now ... I saved it in two places, and will e-mail it to myself. For now, I wouldn't include it because people can still access the PB pictures, albeit inconveniently. The creator did not give me permission to share it here, and the Dreamwidth account is not dead. If this account and PB do go the way of many services, though, or there is a legit way to use this here, I do have it.

You could stick a copy in a zip and stick in on SimFileShare.

Thanks for uploading the file! I have been searching the internets, hoping to find enough of the images to see what was supposed to be done. Much happier now.

Aaah thank you, I was just studying this tutorial and despairing over the lack of pictures. You're a life saver! Do you maybe have a pdf like that for threadandsandpaper's other tutorial too? This one here: https://threadandsandpaper.dreamwid...976.html#cutid1

Would appreciate it very much!

@quweenie

I put it in a 7zip file with the images included, as they are a little small in the PDF and you might want to see the full size.
