Just curious

I don't play any other games.

But I'm sure somebody made and shared Old Town from TS1.

All Sims are beautiful -- even the ugly ones.

Its marka93 and yes I have done 1 for Sims 1 called Old Town and several from the Stories Games and still working on more.

You already have the link for Old Town and here is the link to the unreleased hood called Riverside. http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=503756
As for the Stories Games we will start off with Bitville aka Vincent's Story: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=564424
Then we have Four Corners aka Riley's Story: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=557801
Plus we have all kinds of different hoods we made under the Hood Building Group name. For a complete list just go to my downloads page and look through all of them. http://modthesims.info/browse.php?gs=0&u=7749491

I've recreated Old Town + Downtown as a co-lab project with Kalisasims, which can be found here.

I find it fun in general to recreate buildings and sims from other sims games. I've been working a lot on Strange County (or extended Strangetown if you so will) which merges Strangetown from The Sims 2 for PC, PSP, GBA, DS and PS2/XBOX/GC into one huge neighborhood. More info about that here and here.

If I knew how to do it (I know, SimCity 4, but I've never played or used it), I would love to try my hand at recreating Neighborhood 1 from Sims 1 (before Old Town was added), and Sunset Valley from Sims 3 (my favourite town besides Moonlight Falls).

I don't have the skillset, but if I did, I'd recreate Windenburg from Sims 4 and Bridgeport from Sims 3. The new hood that's shipping with TS4 pets looks nice too.

BG+Pets, right? Not much point, otherwise.

Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.

I learned how to create a neighborhood through youtube (from "The Jessa Channel" channel). You could learn from there too.

I'm thinking of recreating something from TS3 and maybe TS4 (San Myshuno might be my favorite city, besides the fact how lackluster it is in diversity and the expansion pack it came from with it along).

awhile ago downloaded templates of the Sims1 neighborhoods; around the time of a Where Can I Find thread. the links are in that thread.
http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=595911

though yet to create neighborhoods from those templates.

The lots of the Pet Stories neighborhoods are done! Only the characters need to be added to the neighborhoods...

I'll have to second this. I loved Windenburg when I first saw it, especially that creek where you could cross the river on stones. :lovestruc

Unfortunately, I lack any building skills whatsoever to do it any justice.

Nope.
I probably would have loved a Castaway TS2 neighborhood, but only if it had all the Castaway functions.

I think most, if not all of the other Sims neighborhoods (not including TS3 or TS4 remakes) have been uploaded to various websites at this point.

Right, but you mean without the sims included. I want populated hoods.

Edit: While on that topic, any chance of a 3>2 conversion of the TS3 university?? :lovestruc

My Jambalaya Quarter neighborhood (location where I have lots like my Nosferatu Court and my Musee Jambalaya) is one that I've patterned heavily after the "Sim Quarter" neighborhood from the GBA Urbz game of years back...
