While aging child townies with FreeTime, their aspirations will be randomized when they become teenagers. In some cases, they have been seen to retain the Grow Up aspiration they had as children. Their aspirations can be changed by using the ReNuYuSenso Orb, passing the Sophomore year in college, using the testingcheatsenabled cheat, or with SimPE.

Thank God for that. I was worried I had corrupted my hood when one of my Sims (formerly a child townie, now an adult) showed the Grow Up aspiration. Turns out it is just a gameplay issue when using the NPC aging feature on a child Townie.

Nice Rachel we're having.

So funny what mod conflicts can do. But, can you tell me, what is this mod? I don't see the original or an explanation of what it does.

The original mod is linked to in that blog post, but it's hard to see because of the color scheme.
Hexagonal-bipyramid's mod is an update of this old one - http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=89766

Ooooo, I re-discovered how to recolor. I'm so pleased. This is my favorite bookcase and I couldn't find any recolors of it. Look, mom!

Thanks, Rox, looks interesting.

I discover that Pleasure parents are terrible.
I usually dig the Romance-Pleasure combination but when both parents are Pleasure, it's a pain for the unfortunate toddler and me. It was a first for me.
On top of that, they're pregnant again.

It can depend on how you play them, really. My Pleasure heiress was a pretty capable parent... and so was her hubby, Nery Turner.

I must be the very last person to have found that spouses can ask each other out on dates. My only question is what happens if it isn't a great date? Do they sleep in separate beds or something?
Thankfully that wasn't the case when I sent one couple out on a date. It was rated great, and they want to do it again.

They might dump flaming bags of poop on their own doorstep if it's a terrible date...

I found and posted about a cocktail of mods that make my parents care for their infants and toddlers much better autonomously.

Good to hear that you found the culprit, even though it turned out to be a different NPC clothing mod!

Speaking about mod conflicts, whenever I have a party it always sucks. Despite having music, food and places to sit. I used to throw roof-raisers all the time, could it be a mod that makes parties more difficult?

I thought a party score got better when the host sim talks to more of the guests? That's how I get the score up. It never mattered if they all were having a blast on a bubble blower or watching TV in my game if the host ignored them.

Uh oh! My social bar is low - that's why I posted today.

Kicky bag. That's the secret to a successfull party.
Also if you're throwing a birthday party someone absolutely must grow up using the cake. Otherwise the party will suck no matter what. Same for wedding parties and the wedding arch: If you get your Sims married without using the arch the wedding will not count as far as the party score is concerned - and a wedding party without an actual wedding is just not a good wedding party.

You want a real roof raiser? Get that six-pack of beer, (Simslice-booty) and spread around the event. I guarantee without hesitation you will have a party that nobody will stop talking about for months, if not years.
Mind you, that's because everyone will be madly in love with or arch-enemies with one another. There'll be fights galore, missed signals, offense given and taken.

The perfect combination for a party.

It could be a mod I suppose, Sciberg, or it may be that you're having a run of parties with different starting conditions. The easiest roof raisers are those composed mostly of people who are already friends, who can be counted on to initiate social interactions with each other. All you have to do for those is to set out the food and provide space (and possibly some portapotties). If the guests are friends of the host but mostly strangers to each other you need to exert more effort and have household members (not just the host) initiate social interactions. Introducing sims to each other, influencing them to interact with each other (flirt, talk, entertain, play with, play prank on) are all effective strategies. In a family party probably the most effective thing you can do is instruct household members to go around hugging and family-kissing and then introducing relatives to each other. In a college party, doing a few apartment gestures, school cheers, introductions, and influences and then luring multiple guests who don't know each other into the hot tub or to hang out together should do the trick. Another good tactic is to include someone outgoing and playful who will initiate kickybag. Turn off the stereos so there isn't an outbreak of smustling or slapdancing (which aren't social and don't help the party score).

You can have a roof raiser on an empty lot, as long as you manage the guest list effectively.

Toddler-Kid-teening birthday parties where it's a family reunion are very easy to be roof raisers and have the police come to 'break up this rowdy party'

And, um, don't get the guest of honour killed during the party. The fastest way to drop a wedding from Good Time to Disaster is, understandably, for the groom to die. Yes, I have experience. I wanted it for the storyline, but was startled how fast the party score tanked.

Cheerleaders will always cheer, no matter what your sim is doing.

Even if they're laying on the bed, naked, with their significant other.

Especially then, I would say! They're very sex-positive.
Though they get bummed when the lights come on and they find they've been cheering someone who's cheating on them...
