This is hardly an urgent request, but I went through all the cars on this site today and though I found the most important thing I was looking for, I did not find a Tin Lizzie, a flivver, a jalopy, the good old reliable Model T that made automobile ownership ubiquitous; still less the Model A. And yet, how can you possibly have a 20th century retro hood without them? People were still driving them when I was a child in the 60s, and one flivver even had an important role in Disney's "Flubber" movies. The closest I found were Chop Socky Hot Rod recolors, which appear to have been cut down from a Ford truck, not a Tin Lizzie.

So, has this really never been done? Or does it exist out in the non-MTS wilderness?

I'm not registered with Simslice and they won't let me download without paying them! Red is a funny color for a Model T, too - it's the model of which Ford said: "You can have any color you like as long as it's black."

I already looked at Fresh Prince. No Model T, and nothing older than the 30s.

As for that site, as a lurker there, I know it's in limbo. The staff there are somewhat active but they have file hosting issues that's why most of the cc there are missing.

Don't pay for Simslice. I used to be a member there, but AFAIK it's been a ghost site for, like, ten years. I'm surprised there's even a staff still monitoring it.

Thanks, that's good to know. But, what about a site like simslice, for example. Ostensibly, it's an active site. The domain hasn't expired. But, it hasn't been updated in many, many years. And there's no one to unlock the site even if you find a way to pay to join. I haven't heard anything in a long while, but a few years ago someone posting on this site mentioned having paid to join. But they were never given a code to put in to allow them them to download. The site was taking money every month, but the person was getting nothing for it.

And I know sites like that exist in other places because I was sucked into one,myself at one point.

Dammit Smorbie - there is a rule about that. I've just been looking for it and can't find it. It's somewhere obvious but I'm so tired atm (busy at work), I can't remember. So take what I'm about to say with a pinch of salt.

IIRC if you are talking about a dead site (I'd say SimSlice is dead for this purpose - though I don't know if they have a specific posted policy about posting elsewhere - if they do, and they say don't post, then the answer here is no), for preference:

Link to where the item is posted alternatively (graveyard, sims file share, booty)

If it's on none of those places, you can post to the thread - I think. This is the bit I wanted to check. Perhaps HL or Nysha will come by and remind me what the rule is here. However, also consider this has drawbacks. For one thing, any stuff will get lost fairly quickly because thread turnover here is high - even with the popular threads that hang around for a while, there are so many posts, any files quickly get lost. My personal suggestion would be to upload the item yourself to SimsFileShare* or to the Graveyard (if they're still accepting files). Then it's in a permanent place where anyone can get hold of it easily. I'm also pretty sure that if you all went mad and posted multiple files constantly, especially if you attempted to archive an entire site, the admins on the site would call a halt and start deleting. MTS is not a repository for random CC from elsewhere - so choose wisely what you post.
