Default Sims 1 Double Deluxe wont start Windows 10
I have installed it and it changes the screen to 800x600 as usual but then quits! Any ideas?

This is because later Windows versions will not support the software security used in older games. See this thread:

I have the game running well on my Win 10 computer but I run in a 1024x768 window, have it installed to a non-UAC location and use a noCD mod. I also have the complete collection.

i had this problem too with getting sims 1 to work on windows 10.

it should work just make sure to follow the steps and download the right patch the links are in the description

Could be; the update applied to Vista too.
