Grow with Me
Grow with Me

I have spent many hours play testing it. I did rewrite the challenge. I just simplified it, made it easier to read, and added a couple rules.

Goal
Build a life and large house from nothing.

Story
Sarah was from a very bad household and very poor. She ran away from home with just the clothes on her back and the money in her pocket. One day, while sitting in the park, she met Sam. He too was poor and alone. His parents had died and he was left with nothing. They started talking and figured they could help each other. They bought a lot and built a small house using every penny they had. They didn’t expect to fall in love….

Setup
Choose a family structure (see below). Create your 2 sims. You can name them whatever you want and they can look however you want. One sim must have the workaholic trait. The other sim must have a family trait (family oriented, nurturing, etc.). You only have to choose one family trait. You may choose the rest of the traits. The workaholic sim cannot have the family trait you choose for the other sim but all other traits including the other family traits are allowed. The sim with the family trait cannot have the workaholic trait but all other traits are allowed. The workaholic sim must have the living in the lap of luxury aspiration. The family sim must have the big happy family aspiration.
On your lot build a 13x13 square. In the back corner section off a 3x3 square. Decorate with free flooring and free wall coverings. Find the cheapest door and buy 2 of them. Put one in the front of the house to serve as a front door and one leading into the bathroom (3x3 room). You must buy only the following objects. 1 sink (must be free standing), 1 toilet, 1 shower (not a tub), 1 double bed, 1 small table, 2 dining chairs, 3 lights, 2 cabinets, 1 stove, and 1 fridge. You must buy the cheapest of everything. If you have University you must buy the mini fridge.
Use the family funds cheat to set your money to 0. This is the only time you will be allowed to use cheats unless you need to reset a sim.

Hmm, here's an interesting challenge; I'm about one in-game week in right now. Did want to clarify something, though: is it okay for the family Sim to be self-employed (writer, angler, gardener, etc.) after a baby is born?
