This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Sims can't change clothes, or do anything that requires it.
I've had an issue for months where my sims cannot do anything that involves changing clothes, from showering to sleeping, they just stand there until i reset them. They also cannot age up. I though it was an obvious problem, just some bad cc, but i removed all my cc and deleted cache files and the problem is still there, even tried removing the library. Any thing else i can try to fix this?

Do youj still get the problem with completely new userfiles, new save etc.?

This is the second town i've played since the issue, and i think i tested an old town before, but i could try again.
Update: Nope, still have the issue, even with a new save, i also tried a premade family.

some actions that helped others when "sims got stuck when clothing change" see http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/4845.page " I evicted my family using the edit town option. Then moved them back in. This seems to have reset them..." or " I found that if you save and exit to the main menu and reload the sim I was playing helped but it keeps happening." here at MTS http://modthesims.info/t/356885 "I find that Sims can't change their appearance when they are wearing their work uniform. If you change them back to any other category of clothes the option reappears."

I remember that I had the same problem a while ago and the solution was that i needed to remove a mod and change my gameplay. as far as i remember it happened to me whenever they wanted to go to work especially on certain careers (bridgeport- film studios) and that generally playing in bridgeport and overuse of nraas dresser "ignore clothing categories" made it worse. i had to delete the work place of sims (like the film studio) and put it back in edit town when i discovered that they stuck changing to career outfits and delete all selfmade carreer outfits.
do you have any "outdated" enable ..career outfits or other clothing related mods? that your sims cant age up is also quite creepy - besides many other processes aging up in fact is kind of a clothing switch too.
over here some had trouble with the no/reduced curfew mod? do you have it too (if you want to read the discussion http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/398020.page) i also had it in game for quite a while but cant remember if it had sth to do with my clothing switch problem
here just to show you the mod thats making the mess doesnt even have to do with "clothes". someone over here http://modthesims.info/t/406155 fixed the issue when removing an "vacation-related" kind of mod

But what does that have to do with a new save with no mods/cc used?

yes the no-cc thing. the only reasons i can imagine for this are:

1) that there was an update maybe not correctly done by the launcher so your sims 3 is itself mishebaving. your problem was also reported by simmers who did not even use CC or so they told EA http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3...ng/td-p/1495289 the first hint i read a dozen time is : patch your game (and remove all cc and look if the problem is still there- what you did)

2) if even after removig mods + patching there is no solution then somethings corrupted? (did you make these "fast factory reset" create new sims 3 folder - complete restart? like described here http://customsims3.com/forums/thread-2030.html)
i read at the nraas page that having "glitchy-buggy" saves in the game is really serious stuff thats why he is promoting the "total annihilation" feature of one of his mods that removes sims completely from game.

also its hard but can you remember when you encountered the problem the first time (you said its month ago? and you did not do anything against it?) and what changes did you make to your game? maybe patching?

EDIT: sorry i also have to ask if you use/used any mods that help EAs crappy design of sims 3 in general? since certain game development stages (patch levels) and the complexity of my game (due to long game sessions / large save games + neighbourhoods) i found my game not playable anymore when NOT using certain kind of mods like nraas error trap or overwatch. https://nraas.wikispaces.com/ErrorTrap + https://nraas.wikispaces.com/Overwatch

I moved the entire sims 3 folder, and i use most of the nraas mods, the earliest i can think of when the mod started is April 10, but i cannot remember if my town before that had that problem as well.
Update:It was the last patch. I re patched the game and now it works, and all this time i have been trying to figure out how i broke the game. Now i'm just going to play for a bit to make sure.

glad it worked!
also its useless now for you but look. the creator here points out that his no curfew mod if not updated has effect on sims changing their outfit ;-) http://customsims3.com/forums/thread-1662.html (the line under "enjoy the upgrade") funny how sims 3 work: no curfew - no change outfits.

I thought that one was the problem initially, and when i removed it my sim was able to go to sleep, but then when they tried to shower it happened again, sometimes if i quit while the sim was waiting to sleep, when i opened the game again it would work.
Anyway thanks.

as i told you there CAN be more mods that arent compatible after patching (or not anymore - and they must not have anything obviously to do with clothing).
BTW: whats about the aging? can your sims age up or werent you able to test it in the meantime?
i can really only recommend that you check EVERY single mod you want to use for the new patch to be either
- (best case) said by its creator its patch level compatible
- or in the comment section verified by users that they still work for the patch level.
if thats not the case then you can easily have problems in game (some problems + glitches more obvious, others may stabb you in the back at a certain point when its absolutely unsuspected)

Some of the tuning for clothing changes is in a huuuuge xml file called Sim which contains an absolute craptonne of variables, so a *lot* of mods can mess up clothes changes even when they have absolutely no connection to clothing. That's why I suggested using clean userfiles, to 100% rule out a CC issue.
