Help with Debug Enabler
Started playing TSM for the first time in a few years. Having trouble getting Rick's Debug Enabler working and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The game crashes right after the intro.Currently I edited the Commands.ini and changed the value to "TestingCheatsEnabled=1"
My mods folder is in the program files/origin games/the sims medieval
the mods folder also has a packages folder where I have the debug enabler package stored.
I downloaded a resourcess.cfg file and also placed it the origin games/the sims medieval folder
And I have the d3dx9_31.dll file in the game/bin folder
I'm trying to run the debug enabler alone with no other mods. I tested Grim's Core just to see if it was a problem in my mod set up but it works just fine so I have no idea what I did wrong.
The game is an origin download so it should automatically be the most recent patch.
Can anyone help?

I got the answer that works for me. @bluegenjutsu has an excellent post right here and apparently uses Grim's Core Mod which has effects of the debugenabler for TSM. I downloaded the version 2 and it's working great!
My older message is in spoiler below, just FYI.

I've got the same thing going on.
I have the Origin version (Deluxe). I last played on Origin in the fall of 2012 with a few mods but not debugenabler. This month, I've decided to work on some ambitions and achievements and added bebugenabler. Got a new PC so I had to install it from Origin and load my saves. I put files in the correct places in Program files. I also have the nointro.package for testing the install. It works.
After nointro passes (it correctly skips the EA intro), the video for TSM starts (I usually hit escape). So my mod framework is correct. However, when the last screen before Main Menu appears, the green loading bar starts for a second and then it crashes after only a smidgen of loading the bar. I'm not sure, but I suspect an Origin update has made it incompatible with debugenabler_1.3.13.package. Removing the file allowed the game to play. I tried the earlier debug versions and they also crash the game (a bit faster too). I renamed the debugenabler package files with a nonsense BAK extension and the game loads fine, without the EA intro. So mods do work. It's just the one.
The SKUversion.txt in game/bin says GameVersion = 2.0.113.00107
GameVersion = 2.0.113.00107
Code: 0.Patch-0.0.2124
Asset: 0.PatchContent.BG.1445
Thumbnails: 0.Thumbnail.Patch.106
Caches: 0.TCC.patch.103
CiderVersion#006696
Am trying to get debugenabler working.
Any helpful tips appreciated. TIA!
