Hi
For a long, Long time now I have been working on a sofa mesh, cloned from a 2 seat sofa with 2 extra tiles added. I have got the mesh and texture working in-game fine... but no matter what I do, I can't get extra tiles to show up.

Attached I have my mesh WITHOUT any adjustments to the footprint. Could an experienced mesher/modder please help me by walking me through the confusingly difficult (for me) tutorials on the subject or... possibly having a look and adding the tiles themselves and leave me to add the extra guides etc.

Thankyou enormously for your help!

Did you need the extra seat to be sit-able?

I don't necessarily need it to be sit-able, as long as there's a slot there its fine by me. But sit-able would be awesome if its able to be done.

I have to say this now. Urgh. Seriously, this footprint fix is *nasty*. I'm not surprised you've had trouble with it.

I've got the tiles showing up, and the sofa's correctly placed across them. The two new tiles have custom pie menus to disable the sitting options, custom init and main functions to make them non-chair like, and I've cleared up the extra lines in the OBJf. Normally, all would be good... Except that all the semiglobals for multi-tile sofas seem to work on the premise that *every* tile will be sit-able, and if any tiles are non-sitable it goes and crashes.

I'm going to have to give this one a bit of thought and come back to it.

Thankyou so much echo! You seriously rock! If you really can't do it, just leaving the extra slots will be fine... Again, thanks and good luck.

Is there a way to assign separate sitting animations to a tile without the semi-globals having anything to say about it... or are the semiglobals destined to always be totally global? (Kinda an oxymoron)

Could you have considered just using some slot-blocking device, a seperate object, to put where the non-sittable projection is? Just to stop people walking through it.

The custom parts of this object - is it just the mesh and textures? Have you changed any TXMT or MMAT settings, or anything sneaky like that? I may end up moving it into a different clone base, so I want to make sure I get all the bits.

Any luck with this echo?? If you can't make them sit-able just send me the extra tile version... I can live with that.

Sorry, my Internet is currently broken (*glares at Telstra*) so I can't actually do much of anything outside of internet cafes and generous friends' PCs...

aww... that sucks. I'm not even with Telstra but somehow they screw up our phonelines every couple of months so that the internet doesn't work.

I'm not with Telstra internet either... But unfortunately my Internet company can't connect me until Telstra actually reconnects my phone number.
