that watch out a parked car thing is the most annoying thing for me too I have a couple of houses with garage door directly at the fence line if I put a 'hobby repairable junk car' in there no sim will pass the door and I mean no sim at all even the papergirl starts the look-out thing btw the garage door is blocked by the 'only vehicles can open' hack so sims should not even see the car |

sims! ..... ,some are just like people. |

I HATE "watch out" when they exit a car. WHO THE PLUMBBOB DOES THAT IN REAL LIFE? I also can't stand.... -SSX. It's stupid, it's addictive, and it sounds wrong if you say it too fast. -Making the bed. -Every Sim In The House Wanting To Bathe The Toddler -Other sims interacting with the toddler when I'm trying to have a certain sim take care of it because its needs are dropping and the interacting sim needs to get to work already -When a sim is on the third floor, the fridge is on the first floor, and by the time they get down there they forget they were going to prepare a meal (or other situations like this) |

There are hacks for all the issues listed in the above three posts. And no, I'm not going to link to them all. But I can point you in a direction for most. Pescado (MATY) for antiwatchout Pescado or TwoJeffs (Simbology) for either the Baby Controller or No Toddler Swarming (something like that) TwoJeffs (I think) for something that will stop autonomous computer gaming Pescado for abortbedmaking (so you can cancel the action), or there may be something floating around that will make sims make the bed first thing, automatically, so they don't think about it later when they're halfway across the lot Pescado's manualnavigation helps with ADD (forgetting what he/she was supposed to be doing) by allowing you to tell sims to "Go Here", and follow that command with whatever it is you want them to do once they get there. (Normally, any commands issues after "Go Here" drop off, and you have to reissue them once they get "here".) My memory fails me on the last one, but I'm 100% sure there's a hack somewhere (probably several) that squashes the "I'm Home!" Family sim post-work dance. (I don't have it myself, because I rather like that behavior. It's cute. )

Point. There is an issue of appropriateness as it's not quite as cute when they do it after being demoted or fired. Unfortunately, I don't know of a hack that moderates the behavior. |

Cyjon has a hack that stops that action. I didn't DL it for a long time as I also thought it was kind of cute, I'm over that now. There is pretty much a hack to stop or nerf any of the annoying autonomous behavior. Pescado also has an autonomycontroller hack that allows you to set autonomy on specific items by either lot or global. I find it really useful for a few reasons. One: I don't have to have a whole bunch of hacks for item specific autonomy. Two: I can proscribe autonomy on a home lot but Sims will still use the item on community lots, I do that mostly with swimming pools and computers. Three: I can change the autonomy of any item from within game and at any time. So if my Sims wanted to have a pool party I can just remove the restriction and then apply it back after the party. Pretty cool and helps keep me sane. |

I've got autonomycontrol, and agree that it saves having to install a bunch of other autonomy-related hacks. Or at least it would, if I could figure out how to use it. (I'm sure I can. Just haven't tried very hard.)

Ha! It's really easy just send your Sim to interact with the item in question. Then click on the Sim and on the menu click "autonomy". Then just follow the menu options and choose which ones you want. |

Cool - thanks! The part I think I've been missing is directing the sim to interact with something before attempting to use the autonomycontrol feature.

The one that drives me nuts is "stuff face." (I'm playing a BACC, they can't order groceries, and I worry that they'll run out of food before the harvest if they don't stop stuffing their faces.) |

Also CANNOT STAND the autonomous "Talk through to" interaction on the teddy bear. I've allowed it ONCE and that was between townie friend and good-needs toddler. Also, why can't they put the thing back where they found it? Why must they leave it in some godforsaken place where the kid can't find it? |

I hate it when Sims, when you first buy something or move into a fully furnished house, they MUST go to each item and question it. Sim: What's this? Me: A frickin chair. You must be stupid if you have never seen one before. |

I've never had a sim query more than one object in a new house. I'm sure that there's a "no what's this" mod available. |

There's a "no what's this?" mod at MATY - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s.../topic,7.0.html . |

Actually, I find that if I buy things when my sims are asleep (which I almost always do, as it's a handy time when I know where everybody is), they don't go gawk at it. And I make use of the "What's this?" mechanic on community lots to direct them to the place it seems best for them to go when they first arrive on the lot, so they'll all gather (for example) at a group of statues in the foyer of Crypt-o-Night instead of going all the way to the back to look at a light or sink or whatever it was the builder put there last. Sometimes I think I must be the mellowest person on here, as almost none of these things annoys me even a teeny bit; and many of them I quite like. When a family sim sings on coming home after being fired, I know exactly how they feel: "At least I'm home where my labor means something and not in that stupid job!" Most of the reasons sims get fired are really stupid and would cause lawsuits IRL. |

Ugh. I can't stand when my neat sims HAVE to make the bed and you can't stop them. Even when they weren't the ones who slept in the bed. I've had sims almost miss the bus or carpool just because of their spontaneous need to make every bed in the house -_____- Then there's the autonomous BV stuff (Tai Chi, Hula, Slap Dance) But that's not as annoying as the bed making thing |

I had an auntie in one family, when her nephew grew up he started fancying her! Yuck! Also one time I had 2 seperate couples, happy and in love, barely knew the other couples, but when one couple kissed, the other couple got all angry and they all fell out, and had cheating memories! One time I had a happy teenage couple, both short term and long term relationship scores really high, she invited him round, and he suddenly beat her up for no reason! I hate it when nothings going on, I go up a floor to check another sim, then come back and someone's had a fight, died, fallen in love, etc. |

Anonymous computer using. I know there is plenty of mods to disable this, but I haven't used any yet. It's annoying when an NPC becomes a guest in your home, yet they're using all your stuff without permission. It's quite disrespectful too.

It drives me absolutely bonkers when my sims form an unhealthy obsession with roaches. I am constantly cancelling "stomp on!" or "freak out" or whathaveyou, even when the exterminator is en route. It's made all the more annoying by the fact that once they finish stomping on them, they proceed to cry about it for the next 72 hours! |

@ Levera: What is this awesome bookshelf you speak of? I am highly interested. @ lil_princess_of_evil: I have a sim that once knocked over his girlfriend's trash can. WTF?! I had to use a hacked object to give him an extra nice point. @ HexYeah: TwoJeffs has a "No Romance Swoon" hack here. @Dizzy-noodles: What's BOTDF? Is this a band or something that old people like me have never heard of? Oh, and I like salsa music. Heh. My radio stations play mostly 80's music and J-pop. I refuse to play with free will on because autonomous actions annoy me so much. I have plenty of hacks to stompinate the stuff that turning free will off won't get rid of. One of the things that drove me crazy was that they'd always do completely useless thing that wouldn't gain skill or boost needs, like playing computer games or writing in their diaries. I suppose there's a bit of Fun to be gained - I do sometimes have them play games on the PC - but there are activities that are much more fulfilling. I also hated it when I'd have guests over or be rushing around for some important reason and then one of the household sims would disappear and take a bubble bath. Usually when their Hygiene is full, too. I think I had one that did this during a FIRE.
