I never cared for Pandora's Sims site anyway, as I have seen much better adult sites. And yes, that person is very incompetent.

First of all, his stuff and his site are ugly and badly done. It's cheap BS to me.

Creators spend a lot of time on their creations and should be respected for that. It's hours, sometimes days, weeks or months of your life you put in a creation. Stealing it takes a few seconds? Maybe a minute. What's the merit of that?

I never know what to put in my sig, so a link to this information will be a good thing. I'll spread the link around, for you Numenor, and for all other creators. I laughed when he said MTS2 was a rival. He needs no rival to sink with his lousy manners and crappy website!

He's talking about his own site, which I've personally had trouble with every time I ever tried downloading the one or two things there that I was curious about; but I guess it's not really a surprise, the site looks like it was created by a 10 yr old, and he hasn't changed it at all since TS1!

He gave me grief years ago about it apparently being "my fault" because I was a "stupid-head" because his downloads weren't working blah blah blah, yap yap yap. Hey! I paid him in good faith for a TS1 nude patch (back then, that was the way to get one) so the least he HAD to do was deliver the goods I'd paid him for!

After that, I avoided his site, he's just not a nice person to deal with and who needs the grief? I took my revenge by giving that nude patch out to everyone who wanted it *EG* (he'd stolen it anyway, I opened up the file and it had Maxis' signature all over it, "This file copyright 1999 Maxis", the guy didn't even have the smarts to change that!), I handed it out to a couple thousand people at least.

That is some kind of STUPID for him to steal from MATY . . . they just turned around and posted all his "for sale stuff" on The Site That Must Not Be Named, and put up a nice little, err - notation - about him stealing their free content and selling it!

Personally I think this is the way to handle thieves, re-distribute their files to everyone free of charge. Why respect them if they are not respecting you? And it'll put a quick stop to file thieving if there are consequences for doing it.

I'm glad someone resurrected this thread. At least some people will know what's going on in the modding world.

Anyway, holy crap! That file you linked to is priceless, 1306. The best part was the subject line: "remove content of suffer the consequences". It stayed pretty good, too, with him describing himself as CEO of Pandora Sims, trying to write in legalese ("good faith belief" and "swear under penalty of perjury"), writing the letter in all lower case, and this exercise in selfish douchebaggery: "I can and WILL contact them and can get your entire site shut down unless you remove all content belonging to www.pandorasims.net I don't give a rats ass about the other sites."

What an ass. I hope the next step is a Cease and Desist letter written by Neil Bauman.

I speak for all noobs when i say that its good to have all of you guys at MTS2 to mentor us. ive got an idea to teach this guy a lesson: post something on his site that is fairly cool, nothing like awe inspiring, just enough to get some traffic... BUT! instead of a download its a link to this post, a psedo download. it wouldn't do any harm and people who didn't know he does this stuff would (if they have any morals) stop using his site. just a thought though, i wouldnt do it but mabe someone more computer savvy.

What an Idiot! They are so stupid. "They" don't realize they may wind up with more people visting and downloading at their site, if they did give credit to Numenor, and others. And if they supplied the links back to the MTS creators' then they would become a well loved, and respected site just like MTS. There wouldn't have to be anymore rivalry, unless it is a paysite, which I avoid. Destroy paysites!
