Current Status of the Game According to... #1 |

For those of you freaking out like me, here is the current status for the expansion pack in some of the major store, obtained from their site: Target: This item is available online, but is not available in stores. Gamestop: Confirmed that it has Pets on the shelves, at least in my area. Best Buy: Release Date: 10/18/2006 Walmart: IN STOCK Usually takes 24 to 48 hours to process. See estimated arrival date. (I don't know what they mean by this, I assume they mean it's shippable but not in the store). Circuit City: Not available for in-store pickup I haven't called any of these places because I have to go soon, post any updates you may find. I'm going to personally go by each of these stores later today when I get back from class and let you know. Also, these are just the places that I know of, there may be other electronics stores I can check out. |

When I get out of class in a few hours I will be stopping at two different Targets, a Gamestop, Best Buy, and Walmart. Of course, if I find pets in any one of those places I might not make it to the rest

This is absolutely too much... When I bought OFB I hadn't played the sims in a couple months so the day I checked on the new expansion was the day it came out... |

A new Sims 2 expansion packs shaves YEARS off of my life I tell you. I don't have a car to run around and see if places have it, I don't want to waste my time or my friends time and gas so she can cart me around, and I have the worst telephone anxiety so I can't call anywhere to see if they are selling it yet. If I get through this day, it will be a miracle! |

I just made the three minute trip from my apartment to the EB Games in the mall, and I have bad news: The Sims 2 Pets has been fog delayed, and won't get to most of the stores in the south until after five this evening, tomorrow, or later. They also said none of the other stores in town have any copies, and are having the same problem. You know, if it was any other expansion pack than Pets I'd have given it and EA the finger at some point yesterday and decided to not buy it because of all the stupidity around it, but it's Pets so I can't. I guess I'll just pull out my books and study so I can catch up after missing class this morning for a game that never got here. |

I went to Target this morning and they were completely sold out. Not one copy on the shelf or stocked in the back. Im planning a trip to Walmart shortly to see if theres any more there. |

I pre-ordered mine from a local computer shop. The small shops are usually better to get the EPs from, as they don't get as much custom as large chains, meaning they usually don't run out! |

I pre ordered from the local gamestop and they called me last night to tell me that my pre order was ready to be picked up today. Hopefully when my mom goes to get the game there is no problem |

I went today to a small shop from where I got my copy of GL and inquired about Pets and to my surprise I found out that they took orders.  Hopefully, I'll get Pets sooner than I got the other expansions. I am so happy!

Okay, so on a whim I stopped at the Madison Wal-Mart-- and they have it! It's the only place in town, so if you live in Huntsville and can't find it, look there. It wasn't put out yet, I saw it in a cart in front of the other Sims game, with WOW and Glamour Life stacked on top of it. Yay! Now I just have to keep myself from skipping my language class this evening... |

I got mine yesterday and was shocked that EB Games had it... I am not sure they were supposed to be selling it yet as all the flyers here (Ontario) said it was releasing on the 19th... Sweet for me! |

Alantra I love your Avatar Does anyone know of a thread with lots of good screen shots? I am at work and I cant get on to EA games or any "Game" related site.... luckily this is off their radar... I am DYING to see what a bull terrier looks like in the game |

I called a wal-mart earlier andthey said they had it. Watch this be the one time they sell out before I get there. Last expansion there were tons and made me feel like an odd wierdo who is the only who plays Sims 2 around here lol |

GAMESTOP HAS IT. It was the first place I stopped by on my trip and there were about 6 or 7 copies. This doesn't guarantee all gamestops do, but if you're living in the Fresno/Clovis California area, the Gamestop on Willow & Herndon has it .Unfortunately I was so excited and hungry I came home without checking the other stores in my area. |
