My computer won't even let me have all the EPs there are now.

I am Ghost. My husband (who made the account because I was too shy) is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.

I'm lucky all the EP's and SP's run fine on mine because of my large hard drive and RAM and processor speed, however, when I set all the graphic options to high, that is when the speed really decreases. So I think I just need a new graphics card, since the one that came with my PC is only like 32-bit or 64, one of the two.

I think I read that they will have some pics up later this week. Let's hope they don't lie, I'm very curious.

Why does this have to come along after I've tried to make an apartment building and already moved some Sims in??

Funny how I always thought that apartments should have been included in Nightlife, that is the perfect EP to include this. But at least we are getting it! I wonder if we will be getting a new 'hood or a destination? My guess is a new 'hood since a destination usually has a special purpose. And apartments can be anywhere.

They should give us a new hood called Pleasant Valley, and it's a metropolis based on what we're getting in TS3. It'll be like a glimpse into the next generation!!

They could give a neighborhood with a downtown feel to it.

I hope so! A new downtown style of 'hood would be great!

As much as I would love to have apartments, I probably won't be getting it. I have so many hacks for Seasons that I won't be able to wait for their versions for Apartments Life to come out. That's why I didn't buy Bon Voyage or Free Time.

Yes, I am going to buy it then have SecuROM installed into my computer system.

"The Sims 2 controversy

The Sims 2 and most of its subsequent add-ons have previously been using SafeDisc for copy protection until April 2007. However, since then, Electronic Arts has replaced SafeDisc with SecuROM v 7.x software protection, which is included with The Sims Pet Stories, The Sims Castaway Stories, The Sims 2 Deluxe, The Sims 2: H&M Fashion Stuff, The Sims 2: Bon Voyage, The Sims 2: Teen Style Stuff and The Sims 2: FreeTime, but commonly The Sims 2: Bon Voyage caused the problem than the other titles stated above. Some users have been reporting problems with launching the game, CD-burners or anti-virus protection, due to SecuROM. EA attempted to address some of these concerns on the official website. They instructed users on how to remove the software from their computers.[6] Users who asked about the removal of SecuROM were recommended to not do so, since it can affect the functioning of The Sims 2: Bon Voyage and other EA games that use SecuROM.[7]"

Woohoo, ceilings! How exciting! I wonder how they will work, as far as transparency and stuff.

I don't know if you guys noticed this, but I think we'll be getting spiral stairs! (The stairs are to the left of the painting.)

That would be cool too, but as far as what I mean by transparency is, I wonder how the ceilings will appear when you are playing in game, will they fade at the edges, be invisible unless your camera is inside, etc.

From studying the picure, this is my guess. I do not think they will be part of the floor above, but they will still pull out like floors do, so we won't have to place them a tile at a time. I think they will display like floors in reverse - with floors you can see the top but not the bottom. I think with ceilings we will be able to see the underside but not the top side, so when we are looking down we will see right through them. I hope homecrafter allows for creating custom ceilings! But it may be that the ceilings take the colours we have made for floors.

I'm glad we got ceiling, such a little thing but it's hard sometimes trying to take a pic of your sim and frame it so nobody would see there's not ceiling in the house.
