I know this doesn't exactly belong on this board but I had no clue where to put it. I'm not exactly the brightest when it comes to computer lingo but my old laptop just broke and I need to buy a new one. I'm looking for the cheapest possible that will still be able to play the sims 3. The one I'm looking at is here... (add http and www) walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10575193&povid=cat4070-env201974-module202898-rLink5#BVQAWidgetID. I can't post a link until I have 5 posts, sorry. It has all the system information but I don't understand any of it. If anyone has the time to check it out for me, I would definitely appreciate it. Also, if it doesn't work do you know of any cheap laptops that will? (I'm a senior in high school so obviously, I don't have the money for any laptop over $1000 and even that is pushing it. Also it has to be a laptop because I'll need to take it to college with me in the fall.) Thanks a ton!!! |

The sims 3 needs like a 2.4 GHz and that's only a 1.6. Sadly I don't think you could run it on that computer. |

This should be posted in the Computer Hardware and Software thread. You can find the system requirements in this thread or on the Sims 3 site ![]() EDIT: Also you can search the Computer Hardware and Software thread, that should be helpful, I'm sure someone posted a question similar to this. Edit #2: Also here's a message from Callistra (moderator of the Computer thread I linked you to) that should help. |
