Round 1
Chinese Style
----
----
I present my Chinese Style home! This one bed, one bath home is perfect for many types of sims. The solitaire type, the 'just outa college' type, the dating type, the party throwing type, and more will find that this home is just perfect for them, and pleasing to the eye!

The exterior of the home is carefully painted, decorated, and landscaped to ensure great curb appeal and a relaxing, oriental environment. Be greeted by the great arch in front, or injoy a relaxing tea party in the back. Day or night, you will find pleasure in all the beautiful patio area in the back has to offer.
----
The interior is just as charming as the exterior. Shades of reds, greens, yellows, and browns are all tastefully combined to create a wonderful Chinese themed environment, while still keeping it comfortable and relaxing.

Downstairs features the kitchen w/ dinette, bathroom, and oversized / divided livingroom all conected by a great, red hallway. All three rooms contain all the fixtures, appliencies, and furnishing one would ever need. Up a twirling flight of stairs takes you to the secluded bedroom which will nessle even the lightest sleeper into a peaceful nights sleep.
----
What ever your reason for wanting this home, be it pleasure, style, or what ever, you will never regret owning this magnificent 'pallace' of a home.
----

I think the contest section is suffering as a result of Sims 3 and also the merge of the sites. None of the current contests have 10 contestants yet, and have all been up for over a week still 5 days is quite a long time and we might get lucky.. :p

yes, I agree with you simsimsims....I think that a majority of the people who used to join contests, are now off playing ts3. I, however, didn't like the ideal of sims 3, so as long as there's a contest a running here, I will 99% of the time join! (And I can't wait for the ones in the waiting list to get approved... hope they do) And I do hopee, once again, that people will please join this one! They don't have to do the whole contest, but it's more fun if everyone does...

Casa Estrella belongs to the very famous flamencosinger Senora Dolores Fernandes and her family, and is located in the Andalucía region, not far from beautiful Marbella. Dolores grandmother was of gypsy blood, and her home has some elements from this rich culture, as well as elements from Northern Africa and the great Spanish tradition.

Thank you! I for sure had a lot of fun making it, and will soon start on the Chinese house , but would it be possible to have an extension until monday morning? I will be very busy at work today and tomorrow, so I will have to do it all on Sunday, so I might need the whole night to finish it, even if it will be a smaller lot :D

Yes that would be fine

I think I will need to extend round 1 longer than that, if people join today, tommorow or even sunday, they would need sufficient time to complete a round 1 I will see how many contestants we have by the end of sunday, and if there is enough then I will certainly extend Round 1 for everyone

Wow great Round 1 butterfryby The landscaping at the front is amazing!

Well, only about 27 hours left to accumilate some more apps, or the contest will have to close down which would be a real shame as you have all worked so hard.

Hopefully a rush of people will see the light and feel their Inner spanish aching to get out.

Oh yes that would be a real petty I for one think that this contest is so interesting, so I really hope we will be able to continue.
But I guess everybody is trying figure out their new Sims 3 these days...
But simsimsims, it says nothing in the rules that this has to be entirely for Sims 2 houses, does it? So maybe folks can compete with Sims 3 houses as well???

That would have been a really good idea But Someone already asked me if they could Use Sims 3 content in the contest last week. I PM'd Beeps and she said that it wasn't allowed

Which is a shame really as I think the "sims 2" contest section will loose a lot of people. I think Sims 3 contests have to be submitted in a different section.
Personally I have both Sims 2 and Sims 3 and will actively play both, I perhaps even still prefer Sims 2 really due to all the extra content.

About 24 hours left now before this contest sinks into the dark pits of the Sims 2 contest graveyard. That is unless We get a sudden spurt of Apps. :P

I think if I ever did a contest again, I would do a beauty one, as building ones seem to suffer a bit :p

Thanks to some unexpected free time, I'm able to post earlier than expected! Even if it would seem that the contest will not be able to continue, I had a lot of fun building, so that's okay! But I still hope that 5 people out there will join (if YOU do, we need only 4...), so that we can continue with the Greek style - my favourite!

Anyway, this is my Round 1 entry, that I found quite challenging! I many times wanted to add an item, only to find out it was Japanese/Vietnamese/Malaysian/etc, so I'm kind of shocked how little I actually knew about this huge and important culture! To anybody Chinese seeing this: please don't take it the wrong way - I'm a newbie

Miss Lihn My Chan is a modern Chinese woman, an architect and young, free and single! She loves to travel, especially to Tibet and Korea, and has brought home a few items from her journeys that she is very proud of. When she bought the old courtyard-house it was a challenge to rebuild it too a tip top modern house, with all the facilities that a person would want in 2009. She does not beleive in Feng Shui, well not totally anyway, but she does believe that antique furniture goes very well with modern design!

That was sad I was so much hoping to build a great Greek lot! But maybe I will do it anyway...
I really hope that you will host the same contest at a later point Simsimsims, maybe in the Sims 3 section?? I really believe there is an interest for this kind of competition, but that we were a bit unlucky, due to the release date of the new game.
Thanks to everybody - I had fun anyway!

Gosh Simsimsims, I am SO sorry that your contest didnt draw enough people. I thought it was a wonderful idea for a contest. I hope you consider resubmitting it again. I agree with everyone, and believe this is a misfortune of timing between the merge of MTS2 & the Community, plus the release of Sims 3.

Perhaps given some time, a resubmission of this idea will draw more contestants. I know personally, even though I own Sims 3 and am dying to play it, my computer cannot handle the new game without a pricy upgrade which I currently cannot afford, so I will be sticking with the Sims 2 for a while to come! (And I'll bet I'm not the only one out there!) Again, so sorry and dont feel discouraged because I thought your idea was sound and you were doing a very good job at hosting/running it.

Yes, I agree with misstech, lol. Even if I actually wanted to buy ts3, my computer has a horrid video card and there is something else that it is lacking too, i can't remember. I have no idea how i'm running ts2 with 6 eps and 2 sps when my video card isn't even fit for base game, let alone all the expansions.... And I know I've heard lots of people talk about computers being not cut for ts3 yet.
