Well tyler, the deadlines will be pretty lax for the beginning, probably a little bit of overlap for the first few even, and the rounds will only be as demanding as the competition makes it I suppose. The most pictures I will ever require is 6 for the final round, and the rest will have 3-5. You will have to write a little each round, and photoshop will probably end up being important past round 2.

Um... is that demanding?

Task A
Create a full page magazine advertisement for a high fashion designer.
If your last name begins with:
A-H~~Your designer is Versache, Prada, or Gucci
H-O~~Your designer is Ralph Lauren, Dolce&Gabbana, or Armani
P-Z~~Your designer is Louis Vuttion, Baby Phat, or Dior

Requirements:
The ad must be for one of your designated designers. You may choose to advertise formal, haute couture, everyday, lingere and swimwear. The choices are endless, but that also leaves a lot of room for creativity.
As far as writing goes, answer the following questions:
Why did you choose the designer you did?
Do you think you were given enough freedom to complete the ad as you wanted?
Why did you do the advertisement the way you did?
What do you think you could have done better?
What did you do best?
Why should we let you advance this round?

Task B
Make a cover for an auto-biography of your sim. Give it a nice title, and write up an introduction to your biography. We want 2 paragraphs worth of an intro, and NO MORE than 4. We judges do have lives you know. This task has the most creative opportunity.

Task C
Make a short magazine article on fashion. Include 2 photos and 1-3 paragraphs.
It may be on one of the following topics:

Eating Disorders
Wearing clothes that fit your body type
Trends
The Evolution Fashion
Or
Health (Like offering small ways to improve your lifestyle and the such)


Mini-task: Optional
Create a banner for Catwalk
Create a signature sized advertisement for free sim sites
Create a advertisement supporting a political issue that concerns you

IRL I work as a costume designer and freelance Multi-media Artist and I will be one of your judges for this contest.

I have seen so many great applications that I am sure this contest is going to be smashing. You all look so promising; the winner will become a true star of the Catwalk.

Being a pretty girl, with a pretty face in a designer dress is only going to be half of this contest. My votes will be guided by originality, diversity, creativity and photo composition. I want to see that the camera loves you.

Has the ad shot to be a full shot? Or could it also be waist up?

And, if we do the, do we have to answer all these questions and choose one minitask?

And just so you know, the most you can get total per round is:

+5 for minitask
+5 for judge favorite

If you don't choose to do the minitask, than the most possible is 25. I'm now changing it so mini's are optional for all, I just realized that Task B can only have 25 total...

I have given my temporary scores to the applications.

While doing the scores I noticed a few things. Some contestants might find these helpful.

- Not all applications have been completely filled out yet.

- The faceshot is supposed to be without make-up, this is costing points. I can actually see the difference between a skin and later added make up. Don't be afraid to show all those beautiful contestants bare-faced.

- The free picture is an excellent opportunity to show off your decorating and general game-skills. It is also a good way to experiment with poses and background. I would say: do take the chance to show what you got there.

Overall I have seen some great applications until now. Keep up the good work. I am really curious about what you will make for the next round.

uff... I must say, that most of my Pictures (almost all) arenīt in-Game, because my bad Graphics. I even split my Sims Bodyshots into 3-4 parts, so that they are good enough ...

Well, I guess it is not required.... at least that is up to TwilightSilver.

But as a judge I must admit that a better picture gets a higher score. I'll promise to be fair tho, and will keep in mind not everybody has got a spliffy photo-editing computer. Don't panic!

No, if you can get what you need out of Bodyshop that won't be a problem. Have you set your game graphics to high though? That may help if you need an in game shot. Besides we're not judging on your graphics card, but on your skill.

And the ad can be however you want it to be.
