Hello, and welcome to the “Sims Real Estate” contest!
3/29/09 - 4/29/09 In this contest, you will play the role of an aspiring real estate agent who wants to be at the top. (As in, the person who wins is, well – The “Top Dog”, the best agent. What ever name floats your boat, basically!) Every round I will give you a personalized client profile. From this, you will need to carefully plan, create, show off, and attempt to sale your property. If you fail to satisfy your clients needs, then you will unfortunately have to set off and find another company to sale for, (you will be eliminated), because Sim Real Estate only wants the best of the best! So, do you think you have what it takes to become the top realtor? Join today, and we'll just have to see! Contest Rules: -Custom Content is allowed, so, use as much as you'd like. -You are not to furnish any homes you build, unless it specifically says so. However, you should, at minimum, add things like lights, alarms, and any other things that would come included with a brand new house. -Stay under budget or at budget. -Build according to the clients profile. -Have fun  Eliminations: Well, since one person didn't submit Round 1, then that's one already gone, leaving 10. So, for Round 1 there will be 2 more going (for a total of 3). For round 2 and 3 there will be 2 going each round. Which will leave 4 persons in for the final round ..... Judging: You will be judged mainly on how well you satisfied the clients need. You will also get judged on creativity, interest, and how well you showed it off / attempt to sale it. No, there is NO ELIMINATIONS IN THE APPLICATION ROUND! ...It's more of a "show your style off" thing....see no reason to kick someone to the curb over apps! |

Oh cool, I'm so joining! I've never been in a building competition before, so this'll quite the experience. One question though, are we supposed to, or can we put up a picture of the real estate agent in the app round, or no? |

And singing_Noel - since 'you' are playing the role as the agent, it really doesn't matter I really never thought about it before (adding a pic of the "agent")... So, Hey...If you want to go the extra step, and add a little "fluff" to your application, go right ahead! However, it wasn't brought up in the original plans, so, I'm not going to enforce it

I only have (as of right now) one picture of the exterior so, when I do post my app. I think I'm only going to miss that one shot (I will take another). ...Do backyards count as exterior (since it's not really of the house, more of the property)? One more 'stupid' question: I made this house as two homes merged (so they have a connecting wall), will that count as one? |

Lets see, yeah, backyards can count as exterior if you want. Yeah, you can count the merged house as 1 house. No, 4 - 6 pictures were the guidelines as in no more or less. However, you could always use collages (just link if they are too big). And I think that's everything

Here is the house for my app - 491 Corale Lane. So sorry about the fact that the white path to and around the pool looks like tiles. it isn't. I just didn't know how to take photos without the stupid lines. if someone tells me, I'll post another photo without the lines so you can see.  This is a basic overview of the house.  And here's the back yard.  This is a cozy kitchen, complete with a counter at which to eat and several beautiful surfaces on which to cook.  Here's a view, from the kitchen, of the first floor. To the left of the kitchen is a dining/living area. The small blue room is a bathroom, and the larger tan room would make a perfect master bedroom. The small disc on the floor there is an elevator.  Step into the elevator and walk onto the upstairs hallway. A unique idea is incorporated here - three separate rooms, tied together with a common hallway. Perfect for a child or teenager to get away from the "hustle-bustle" of the main floor while still remaining part of the house.  Here's another view of the front of the house. |

Welcome to the Walk-Through of one of the best combined homes on Woodstock Drive!
 First, we will (only) tour through the 'male' section. The kitchen is just a very simple layout with green-tiles on wood counters.  Then, we have the dining room.
