Mr. and Mrs. Hill, this has 5bdrs. and 6bths. As you can see there is a helipad on the roof. Amyrlin Manor sits at the highest point in town. You have panoramic views of the town below and the lake. There is a double car garage to store your vehicles and your toys. The children will lack for nothing to do. The whole ground level is devoted to pleasure. The maids quarters are just off the kitchen and family room. I know you are going to love it. It has everything you wanted and more! I have the contract all written up and some champagne to celebrate, lets go sign on the dotted line!

Firstly, I'd like to say that this has been a great contest. I love building houses -- even big mansions that want to kill off my pc. LOL. I have a rather hectic day today and I really don't think I have time to load my lot and get really nice pics, so I am using ones I took to keep track of what my house was looking like in case my game crashed, so unfortunately, there are none showing the roof. Imagine a mansard roof with round spires on the towers if you will. I, also, don't have enough time before I have to take off for a college graduation to make nice collages out of my pics, so hopefully, I can "sell" it with sentences. I truly do apologize for this entry not being up to my usual par, but real life kept me from getting this done better. I'm working on the theory that these pics are better than no pics and no entry.

I'd like the Hill family to know that I've found the perfect home for them. It's a nice big palatial two-storey home with plenty of space for them to come together or do their own thing. A two-car garage with servant's quarters is not attached but only a step away. There's a robot building station on the back wall of the garage in case you want to customize your own servants instead of hiring.

This foundation pic shows the courtyards, fountains, and large pool area. All, you, the Hill family, need do is add your preference of patio furnishings and hire a gardener to plant some hedges and rows of flowers to turn this home into an even better showcase than it already is.

Here are several different views of the home. You can see from these that there's plenty of space for your family along with large entertainment areas.
Let's go in for a closer look:

The main entry comes into a large formal living area featuring a marble fireplace. To the right is the formal dining room, and a gallery leading to another wing of the home.

To the left, off the side foyer, is the master suite. A tower bedroom (open for two storeys) with a private sitting room, his and her bathrooms, sauna.

The right side has a large kitchen with breakfast bar and table seating. A family room / den is just off the kitchen from both sides where the family can watch television together or play chess in front of the fireplace. To the far right, there's a lavatory off the dining area for guests. It's hard to see from these pics, the three small rooms in the front corner are a teleporter room, a pantry and a laundry room. There's an exterior door here gaining access to the pool area and garage.

A gallery leading off the formal living area gives you a great spot to hang family portrais as well as bringing you to some fun spots of the house. A game room (rec room) is ready for your family to play some billiards or darts. Refreshment bar is handy when you're dry from all that bragging about your pool skills. There's some musical instrments set up on the stage for you to jam when the mood takes.
At the end of the gallery is a roomy two-storey library. You'll spend many a cozy night sitting in front of the fire with a good book, here.
French doors along the gallery take you to the rear courtyard, too.

The upper floor has plenty of room for the children. Each has their own suite and there are extra rooms for hanging with friends.

Verandas run along front and back overlooking the formal living area. Hopefully, you can see that the sitting area on the left side overlooks the open side foyer, too.

Above the master suite, are two suites ready for the Hill boys. One done in browns for Nathaniel, the other done is leafy greens for Tyler. The outdoors is just a hop, skip and jump away for a child that would rather be out than in. (Aside to judges, no, the second floor bathrooms are yet to be furnished, but the garage and first floor do fulfill the three full bathroom rule. And there are two lavatories on the first floor for guests. Sorry about the presently incomplete stage -- my pc started taking a dive after finished all the wallpapering and flooring I furnisheded the kitchen.)

For your daughter, there's a cheery bright colored suite on the right side of the home. Along with a sitting room featuring a fireplace, there are two spare rooms. One could be made up into a guest room. The room done in purple is meant as a playroom for Autumn and her friends.

I'm sure you and your family will love this home. Need help packing for the move?

Floor Plans

I keep getting a message saying I have too many photo's in my post, so I will put in a link for the rest of the floor plans after I cut out enough pics to get this to post.

Million Dollar House Photo Album
Once again, I apologize for the shape of this entry -- I just wish I had time to load my lot and finish off the necessary rooms upstairs and all the other improvements I had planned. And get showcase photos. I really am sorry about the looks of these pics, hopefully you can tell how my lot looks.

great job on you two's masions I can see now why they were lagging and crashing games - I'd never imagined how big they were!

None the less - This round is over, and their seems to be 3 persons who have not posted up. Seeings how I had to go do some work after school, and didn't get to get on and give a 2 hour warning, I will give a 45 min warning. After that time, which will be 7pm, I will officially close down any other entries, and turn it over to the judges.

Thanks to everyone who participated, and glad you had fun.

I'll allow yours to count, even though the 7pm deadline ended 30 min ago.. but you responded before 7pm.

However, to anyone else: This round is now officially closed, and the only entry accepted past this point shall be Br_Fl's.

yeah, Br_Fl you aren't disqualified, but you need to get in your round like super quickly, because judging from the past, my judges usually get on around midnight, EST. so, that leaves you roughly 4 hours. And, seeings how it did end a while ago, it would be unfair to let ya linger - I'm sure you understand.

First I would like to congradulate you Mr. & Mrs. Hills on your recent fortune. I can only assure the best for your family. I have a mansion to show you two today, nestled in the redwood forest.
---------------

Magnificent, isn't it?
---------------

Driveway & Backyard

It has a large driveway fitting for many cars and a nice garage tucked away in the trees. The backyard is large, and because of no neighbors, it is perfect to throw extravagent parties and the trees make for an excellent climb.

The elevated courtyard is a wonderful place for a lazy summer day nap in the sun or childrens birthday party.
---------------

One of the first things you may notice is the tall library shelves. This area is the spot for high class furniture to show off to all your new rich friends!

Spiral Staircase

Across the library is the magnificent marble staircase that spirals through the entire house. This is the main way to get around in such a large home.
---------------

Of course what kind of mansion would it be without a grand staircase? The ballroom, as it is called, boasts hand-crafted wooden floorboards. The marble flooring was imported from Takemizu Village! The room sets the entire mood of the home. Rich, western nature. Brown and green are the predominant colors of the home.

Up the stairs

Up the flight of stairs is an empty study waiting for a studios sim.

The second living room is ideal for toast fires on a snowy day. Christmas would be very picturesque.

The marble tiling continues on through this Georgian inspire kitchen. To balance out the white cabinetry, bronze is used.

The kitchen carries seamlessly through into the dining room. The dining room is easily one of the more expensive rooms, due to the antique gold chandelier.
----------------

The basement level can be seen by one of the funnest levels in the home. This is because-well- you'll see...

Aside from being the floor with the maid's quarters, it also contains the den, which is about half of the entire floor! Plenty of room for a bunch of screaming kids. you won't even hear your daughters' friends laughing all night because you'll be four floors above!

Bedroom

Your daughter would also be able to have a room down here. It even has it's own bathroom.
---------------

Now, of course, the pool! Because it's indoors, the cleaning bill will be much cheaper than otherwise. The heating can be controlled almost instantly with the flip of the switch. Of course, whats an indoor pool without...

A spa! The simulated hot springs fit well with the home's theme and always offer an instant vacation.
---------------

Returning to the second floor, the rec room opens up or closes for the needs of the sim.
---------------

The second bedroom of our tour is the closest to the main staircase and the main floor. Perfect for the sim always needing to go outside for one thing or another. This room also has a private bathroom and a balcony facing the forest.
---------------

The third floor is almost completely reserved for the adult sim still leeching off his now wealthy parents. It has a sleek and modern bathroom just next to a large bedroom. Two extra rooms await the sims own needs. However, they could be used as guest berooms, a second rec room, or personal theater.
---------------

Of course, I did not forget the love birds! The romantic master bedroom is like a honeymoon all over again. The spyglass window gives a gorgeous view of the distant forests and even a hint of ocean blue. The mountains in the horizon truly do give this room a feeling of escape and adventure.

The master bath's simplicity gives it a romantic appeal. The bathtub and showers are situated so that a view of the forest is always possible.
---------------

So what do you say? All this could be yours for only $340,000!

First off, thanks to all contestants, previous, and the ones still in it. Without each and everyone of you, this contest would have been locked / deleted. Everyone did fantastic work, no matter what your scores were. Joining a house building contest atleast signifies that you can build, and have your own style.

But, let me cut to the chase, and finally announce what the final three, and any onlookers, have been waiting for!

Scores from simsimsims:

Contestant #5 - Br_Fl
Needs:5
Creativity: 4
Interest: 5
Sale: 5
Decorating: 4
Total: 23/25
Comments: Awesome Entry! The Green Exterior is just so inviting, and really makes the propery stand out. I love the trees in the landscaping, it makes it so much more secluded and forest like, making the mansion special. The Windows go great with the property and the spiral staircase makes it so grand, upon entering. I love your decorating style, and think it's great that you managed to keep so well to a overall theme. I am very impressed with your round 4, just as I was with all your other entries, Great Job, Well done!

Contestant #6 - Eazypeaze
Needs:5
Creativity: 5
Interest: 5
Sale: 5
Decorating:4
Total: 24/25
Comments: Again, Loving the layout of your post. The Home itself is just simply magnificant. I can see you had trouble fitting it onto a picture becuase of its size, so you definately met the criterea. You have made this home like a palace, I could imagine a royal family living there with no problems. The stone border fencing finishes the exterior off perfectly. The Inside aswell looks very posh, with lots of fine elegant furniture on display, and it also seems so spacious and modern. I am very impressed with your amazing skills this round, as I have been throughout the contest. Well done!

Contestant #9 - Deatherella
Needs: 5
Creativity: 4
Interest: 4
Sale: 5
Decorating: 3
Total 21/25
Comments: Firstly I wouldn't worry at all about not getting your other photo's in, The ones you have posted show me a fabulous mansion, with great features. I really love the shape of your mansion, the octagonal/hexagonal(I need to go back to school) shapes really make it unique and like a palace, and you have really made it such a complicated shape, which i love, and the huge fountain just finishes it off perfectly. Although I'm not to fussy about some of the decorating inside, I do however like the layout of your rooms, and feel they are perfectly sized and offer all the places the house needs. Although possibly not your best entry in the competition, its still a lovely large home, and you met the needs of the client perfectly, and I can tell you took a lot of time on this house, and it paid off. Well done!
