- Food in the fridge can go bad. My Sim had his special lady friend over and was trying to entertain her but she kept complaining about something, and I noticed he had a negative moodlet for a filthy environment. That was when I noticed a green, gaseous funk oozing out of his fridge. I clicked on the fridge and the option to clean out the bad food came up. - The mail carrier came to deliver the mail one day, but instead of putting it in the box, she had a tantrum and then threw the mail on the ground. Don't know what was up with that....

So I'm like, "Cool! What should I get? Brain in a jar... monkey's paw... ooh, pie!"

I got my copy today. I played for 5 hours after I got it. My sims kept breaking the toilet and they would get mad. lol. I don't have any funny things yet. |

I've seen the mail carrier dump the mail on the ground. I've also seen sims unable to use a perfectly clear stove because they can't access it. Later they use it with no trouble even though nothing has changed. I haven't done anything (I was running an autonomy test) and the game hasn't been saved. There seem to be gremlin obstructions that appear and disappear on their own. |

The buildings that's icons were in red, you can't go into those. The blue ones you can though. That's the main issue I have with this game. Slight Nostalgia- Mrs. Crumplebottom is Agnes Crumplebottom in this game, and she is young, good looking, and just like a regular sim. I lol'd. Note to self, make male bachelor and marry Mrs Crumplebottom, taking her name. | |

Winning the Game Don't be absurd. This is a Maxis game! What's to win? You and your sims can play unto perpetuity, getting into entanglements and trying to get out, and by the time you know it, it will be 3am your time, and you don't even have your teeth brushed... --The Sims 1 Prima Guide |

Supposedly there is a storyline that explains how Agnes Crumplebottom becomes Mrs. Crumplebottom. She doesn't have the most endearing traits, but until EA fixes story progression (Pescado's fix might bypass features) we won't know. I doubt story progression was ever sophisticated enough to play out a script. |

I think one fun aspect of the game is rummaging through the trash as a journalist. My sim has collected info on two other families, but was caught when he tried to rummage through the Goth's trash can... |

Kadien: The TV's (all four of them maybe five) have different channels. My sim likes the cooking channel with its two programs. Very short. I still can't belive that they put tube tvs in the game. I could see if that was like the only cheap tv. But there should be more LCD tvs. But that will come in time. At least they ACTUALLY gave us a laptop. |

The first time I played the game my mail person did that. I thought it was hilarious. Guess she was a hothead then? |

Yes, it is truly a sad story, but now you have been given the opportunity to make it better! My Agnes got her Erik Darling back - as a ghost, albiet - but at least she is now happy with him and having babies! One ghostly and one not! I also gave her a bit of a makeover. Go ahead, I know you want to! Go play with Agnes and make her happy once again! |

...Ghostly babies? I need to visit graveyards more, I think. O.o I have to admit I was somewhat surprised to pop onto the forums here and see all the "zOMG I HATES IT!" stuff. I think that while there are a few shortcomings, Sims 3 is turning out to be excellent so far. In my opinion, anyway. My sims have found a "death flower" and a "life fruit." I have no idea what those things do, though. (I foolishly planted the death flower and forgot about it right before I had the sims move to a better house.) |

Hi there Thanks for this thread - i'm going to get the game in a couple of days ![]() I was a bit scared after reading all the bad reviews, but it seems like it actually is a great game -i' definatly looking forward to get my hands on the game :D I do have some questions: Can you enter some resturants ( something tells me you can't :p) ? Or are you able to build one yourself? And are you able to build community lots at all (like shops etc.)? Since building - especially resturants - was something i loved in thesims2 |

Unless I've missed something, there is currently only one kind of restaurant building...and no, you can't go inside it. Building new restaurants, schools, etc, all involves simply placing the entirety of one of those buildings on a lot. I suppose eventually there'll be more buildings that can be used for the same thing, but... You can build your own parks, libraries, bars, etc, but not shops or restaurants. Also, I just found out you can have sims "explore catacombs" on the graveyard lot. They wander around, and you get little choices every so often, and eventually they start finding stuff...like mysterious gnomes. Oh, and a "gigantic space rock" that fit nicely in the inventory, but when put on the lot was a 2x3 object. O.o And worth almost 6,000 simoleons. |

Aww, nobody's mentioned my favorite thing so far! Handiness, the skill that replaced the mechanical skill, has an o0ption after a few points of upgrading various household items! Make toilets, baths, showers, sinks, and such self-cleaning, those and some other stuff unbreakable, and some upgrades specific to one item, such as making microwaves cook food faster, or boosting channels on the television, or improving graphics on a computer. Right now it only lets me give one special trait to an item at a time, i.e. no self-cleaning, unbreakable toilet, but I haven't maxed it, so that may be a final reward. Something tells me not, though. Still better than the cookie cutter appliances of TS2! |

My sim will beat his head on his laptop for no reason while chatting with someone. He's not mad since it's showing + signs for the relationship he has with the person. I think it's funny but I don't understand why he does it. Also, I haven't seen the mail person when they throw their tantrum and leave the bills on the ground but after reading the posts I now know why my mail ends up on the ground sometimes. |
