You can't do this with just 4 tribes, you know. I had to keep randomly adding tribes as I went along. Even if you spend all your time on population control, everyone will eventually be related to each other. You have to watch our for cousins. Although your grandparent's sister's children are good ones, once you hit 3rd/4th gen.

Yeah, I was thinking of replicating an old Chinese story, which had 9 Clans all named after colors.

I'm pretty sure I can do it with only Five, but they'll all have to start out with six to 8 kids apiece, and I'll need to Age Up the firstborns so they can start breeding while their youngest siblings are still babies. That way, a couple of generations later, there are still age appropriate candidates to marry of non-mixed blood.

I think Aging Up goes hand in hand with the Tribal/Clan theme, along with arranged marriages and stuff. I'm writing out my personal rules for this try, and if it works I'll share. I want to keep that 'primitive' feel to the concept of Tribe, while trying to keep their standard of living as high as possible.

You should see my notepaper scrawled with potential family trees. XD

As long as there are appropriate youngest siblings from the original kids, then the Great Grandson of the Red family can marry the youngest daughter of the Yellow Family's founder (or whichever color Red doesn't have out of the five at that point). That should take me to the next generation, and I shooould be able to pull a classic Clan trick and put someone from the first or second Gen of Red back into the Red clan.... Xd

I've got planned Red, Yellow, Blue, White and Black as my starter families. I also plan on re-naming any 'Branch' families from the non-heirs that I marry off and move into their own homes. Like if Red Son2 marries Yellow Daughter1, then they will become the 'Orange' clan. If I do this for every second son, then by Gen 15 I'll have a whole city full of different clans.

Yay! I LOVE this idea! So of course, I had to get started right away! I've made three tribes: one african, one asian and one scandinavian (OK, the scandinavian tribe DID get a bit modernized..) So here's my african tribe (my main tribe) out fishing! The male is called Cafulumisa and the female is called Khalil! Or at least, I think I got up the picture, this is the first time i try :P

I just tried a challenge, but my screen capture program screwed me when I took pics without playing the game in window mode >.<
So, I'm going to play this one because it looks fun, and hopefully my screen capture program will be nice. ^_^

I got to work right away, and I've been on TS3 for about 2 days now with no sleep.

Im having trouble creating it...

I started this an hour ago My first challenge... and I just signed up just to reply to this thread, lol. But this challenge looks AWESOME. It'd be cool to completely populate a whole town with 4 tribes! (Or more, since it seems like 4 won't be enough)
Making the people is taking ages, though...

Instead of Indian, I'm doing wood nymphs/elves/someothermythicalcreature. They have green skin, green hair, and either red or olive green eyes. I can't wait to start playing, cos I've only made one person so far.... D:

By the way, how do you get fish in a pond? Do the fish automatically appear when the pond is deep enough?
