I was playing a dorm of three of my playable sims and my one senior, Ori was needing to go take his final but it was thunder storming and even though I had him don his outerwear he refused to go into the rain! So he missed his final but I was initially okay with that because his bar was at the highest and usually if a sim misses the final and their homework bar is at the top it will only drop them to a low B but as soon as the rain stopped, the dialog told me Ori had missed his final and he was on academic probation and I was like WTF? Was that final weighted heavily? Do your college sims refuse to go outside when it's thunder storming? |

Are you kidding? I have Sims want to go out and PLAY during a storm! Never had a problem with them refusing to go out no matter what the weather. In fact, once the notice appears that the exam is in one hour, I cancel what they're doing, and lots of times they RUN out the door. |

The only times my sim has refused to go to class is when they have been with a baby/toddler/child so that the kid would have been left alone. (and that's with InTeen) |

Off-topic here, but I want to ask--If your college student has a child, what happens to the child when your Sim graduates? Do they also go back to your home neighborhood? |

I don't have Seasons (I wish I did though :c), but that's just strange. Maybe if the Sim was really neat and they didn't want the rain to wet their clothes or something like that. But, no matter what my Sims are doing, they'll immediately automatically cancel their actions and go to class. I've been constantly hearing that Sims use hot tubs in thunderstorms, sit outside in the rain, etc., so I don't see why your Sim wouldn't go to class in the rain. o.e |

The child/children follow their parents to main hood. Or if you have a flavourpack for InTeen (called something like Residential Graduates) it let's sims live in the UNI as long as you want them to. I had once a couple that had a baby at their first year, and he grew up to teen just before his parents graduated. I aged him to YA and he started college the same time when his parents moved to Pleasantview. I remember now, that another time that my sim has refuced to go to class, was when she was heavily pregnant. I don't know if it was a glitch or not, but she kept coming back a second after she disappeared from the lot. ;P | |

You might possibly have a conflicting hack or mod, or a very low motive bar. Like others here, my Sims go out so often in a thunderstorm that one usually gets zapped at least one in ten occurrences, unless I watch them like a hawk. |

Well something strange I forgot tom mention was that he stood on the porch and then shook his head, then he walked back into the dorms and made an action like someone was in his way with a thought bubble of another student I didn't recognize but there was no student blocking his path into the rain so maybe it was a weird hack conflict, although I was playing again yesterday at the same dorm and one of the playable girls had a final while it was storming but she went and she graduated. |

Feeling like a bit of a chat about creation or just... whatever (not necessarily sims)?
