Townies. Part of your work experience grows by having a good relationship with them. It's kind of cute seeing them all fooling around in their uniforms... just... like... real... life. Without the handlebar mustaches. |

You can fix that now, only thing I like about stylists is they can change the sims I don't like. Maybe its becuase im a guy but stylist seems to loose its appeal once I give the sims I know make overs... Anyways fire fighters are my fave so far, although I have yet to see any go out on a call with me, even for the large fires. |

I just installed the game and noticed that right away. It was really weird seeing only one sim putting out a fire. |

As far as I'm aware others only join with you on "Large fires", at least that's the way it was described, however I've not had anything other than small house fires yet myself. On a side note, anyone else notice its unfortunately impossible to custom-build a decent fire station? It seems most of the decent things are lacking (You can't find the fire engine itself in any of the build things nor eye-drop it, fireman's coats while they can be eye-dropped don't seem to actually be in the purchasable menus anywhere...) |

Now only townies, but there's one sim from one of my main families. It's ridiculous, she's supposed to be a housewife, she's all cute and such, what the hell is she doing in a Firestation? hhaaha There's also a granny in my Firestation. D: |

Doesn't seem it, when I eye-drop the coat, it takes me to Build -> Community Objects -> All, but it's not actually there. The firetruck does the same now though with buydebug on, where as before it used to say "Nothing here can be cloned" or whatever. Shame, guess I have to wipe my current building, place the default one and make sure just to keep a copy of all the items not found in build mode :/ |

There's a big parking space in the Cars section of Buy mode... maybe that generates a fire truck? I haven't tried using it yet, but I don't think there's anything else it could be used for. Quote:
So much sexism and agism! One of the reasons I love the sims is that any sim can aspire to any role in sim society So much better than RL.

Hehe, I tried out the firefighter job earlier today. My sim's the only guy in a firehouse staffed entirely by old, overweight grannies. |

Aw, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be sexist. What I meant is that she wasn't supposed to be there, her storyline was supposed to be a hot momma. Anyways, she's a momma. And her husband work. Who is taking care of her son? Hahaha And I don't know why, but she won't do anything in the Firestation. All the other genereated townies watch TV, eat, sleep, etc and she won't. She's keeps complaining about sleep and food, I'm worried if she may die. And anyways, VITA ALTO is working in the Firestation... Now tell me if that's not awkward. Haha |

It's definitely used for the firetruck, but it doesn't spawn one. I patched High-loft stuff to the latest and now the firetruck interestingly is showing up under the "buydebug" stuff o.O But still no coat that I can see. Built myself a nice sexier larger firestation, lol, now to figure out how to make it the main one without losing my career in the other one... curiously it seems while you're "On the clock", as long as you're actually on a zoned area designated a firestation it counts you as being at work, however only the alarms at the actual station you 'signed up' at goes off and all. |

I actually laugh so hard when an emergency comes. Your sim goes to work, but the rest of the precinct stands around the firetruck AND TALKS TO EACH OTHER ON THE WALKIE-TALKIE'S. |

All my co-workers are old women, lol! It's quite easy to get promoted tho. Wish it took just a bit longer. Don't want all my sims to have awesome, well-paying jobs. Gnome invasion is awesome |

I thought promotion took too long, I mean I could usually pull off a promotion per-day basically with the old jobs, police, military, etc. This one it takes like days to do it... unless I'm missing something. I only seem to really earn the most exp count when I do the emergency calls, but there's only one a day, sitting around the hall all day gets me just mini MINI movement of the next-level bar o.O And yes, gnome invasion is awesome, but I thought the Sims Boson emergency was nifty eye-candy >.> |

Maybe because I have a handy, charismatic and athletic sim so whenever he isn't upgrading the fire engine/alarm he is working out or talking to co-workers. Skills raise the bar and so does interaction so
