Hello everyone,

I am having a problem with a mesh I am attempting to make. For some reason, it is clipping or bleeding through the sim's back, which it shouldn't do. I have heard of a similar issue caused by the Pets expansion pack, but Pets is not the problem, because I do not have Pets installed (only Nightlife and Mansions & Gardens, although M&G is later than Pets). I also have ruled out it being related to the TXMT because I have tried linking another accessory that does not have this issue to the mesh, and the issue shows up with that accessory as well; this issue persists when I change the TXMT material type to SimStandardMaterial.

It must be a mesh-related issue, but I don't know what. I modeled this accessory in Milkshape 3D from scratch; it has bones assigned, but the fact that I did the UV mapping myself may be part of the problem. (The textures themselves appear to work fine.)

Can anyone help me? Will I have to re-mesh the whole thing, or can it be fixed with SimPE?

(To explain the picture: The accessory I am trying to make is a corset piercing, and this should only show up on the sim's back - but it clips through the sim when viewed from any angle. This problem is also present in-game as well as in BodyShop. In case it matters, the mesh has ~2000 polygons.)

Yes, my username is obnoxiously long. I thought of it while I was still just downloading, and having CC not crash my game was one of my primary concerns. Sorry. >_>

Hmmm... I had the same problem with an accessory. I talked about it in this thread, but I didn't say what I did to fix it (and I can't remember now!).

I think it may have had something to do with the comments in MilkShape. NumSkinWgts was set at 1... it needed to be set at 3. I think that was the problem (but don't quote me on it!).

Hmm... Come to think of it, that would also explain why the bone weights get slightly messed up when I import the mesh. I'll try changing that.

...w00t, that fixed it! Thank you so much! I'll finish up this accessory, and hopefully I'll release it soon. I'll be sure to add you to the credits.
