I hope this is the right place to put this; I can't think where would be more appropriate...

Anyway, I made a bunch of column recolors. These, specifically. Some users have since reported that they flash blue in neighborhood view and when playing a neighboring lot but NOT when on the lot itself. Then they appear just fine. Now, they don't do this in my game at all, so I can't provide pictures or anything, but a couple of people have reported the issue, so I don't think it's just something strange with one person's game.

I'm stymied as to what might cause this. They are simple recolors of Maxis items, some of them base-game, so it's not a "missing mesh" issue or a user not having the proper EP. They don't have their own GUIDs, so it's not a some kind of conflict there. And the thing that really confuses me is that they apparently only flash blue in neighborhood view.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be and how I might go about fixing it? Any help/ideas would be GREATLY appreciated, because I seem to be fresh out of ideas, myself... Thank you in advance!

For stuff what I've made, there's my LJ. There be downloads there, some of which aren't/won't be here on MTS.

Wonder if it has anything to do with the CEP? Maybe the users complaining about the flashing blue need to update their CEP?

I'll suggest that to the people I've been talking to. I did fairly recently update my own CEP, so maybe that does have something to do with it. Thanks! :D

It's not the CEP, it's the TXMT in your package. Or lack of one in some cases. You've recolored the on lot texture, but there is also one for the hood. This appears to be slaved to the on lot one, at least for the Country Kitcsh one. You'll need to modify the exisiting LOD90 TXMT or add one and modify it.

This is what I did for the Acorn color:
Select the TXMT for the LOD90
1)select the cMaterialDef tab and change columnquaint_columnwoodlod90_white to columnquaint-[iCad-5.10.2010-162733]_columnwoodlod90_white.
2)select the fileList tab paste ##0x1C050000!columnquaint-white-[iCad-5.10.2010-162733] into teh filename box and click the Add button just below it
3)Commit

The current value was for the original column, you need to insert the part that makes your filename unique. So you would need to do this with all the columns. In some cases you don't have the TXMT for the LOD90, which also seems to cause blue flashing, so you might need to create new recolor packages. :/

I've attached the fixed Acorn RC so you can compare to the original.

Ah! Thanks so much, HL. I'll get to work on that ASAP. In the meantime, I'll edit the upload.
