lkandak Original Poster Lab Assistant Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 103 Thanks: 502 in 1 Posts 3 Achievements	My sims game CTD'd once today, so I loaded the crash log analyzer. It said I needed to patch, so I tried a few times from the launcher. It said there was an error, Invalid File, so I tried the Sims3 patch Log Viewer, and it says everything is OK. Then, I decided not to download it. When I loaded sims, it says 'your sims 3 game is incompatible with the base game', so I tried taking away my CC, then moved it back in, and it loads, except that when it loads after the first loading screen, it says that the Late Night CD isn't found. I got it from the EA store (Direct Download) online and don't have a CD. How can I fix this? Is the only way to re-install LN? Also, if I do re-install sims, where can I find the household bin (in the sims 3 folder) to backup the households so I can place them back into the game when I install it again? Thanks so much !

I have: Base Game = 1.19.44.010001 (Direct Download) World Adventures = 2.0.86.002017 (Actual CD) Ambitions = 4.3.4.008001 (Direct Download) Late Night = 6.0.81.009017 (Weird thing is that Dephy's Dashboard says it's not installed! :o ) Thanks!

Delphy's Dashboard was last updated around the release of Fast Lane and doesn't properly report Fast Lane or Late Night.

Note some of the patch downloads are rather large and may take some time to download. Delphy's Dashboard was last updated around the release of Outdoor Living and doesn't properly report Outdoor Living or Late Night.

lkandak Original Poster Lab Assistant Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 103 Thanks: 502 in 1 Posts 3 Achievements	The WA and Ambitions patches both installed well, except the LN patch still has the 'Error: Invalid File Found' error. The last thing it's scanning is 'Sims 3: Launcher'. What can I do to fix this? I don't have a CD to open and copy the file from cause I direct downloaded it. The game still asks me to insert the LN cd... Thanks...

I have a 'Sims 3 Late Night' folder in Computer>C:>Program Files>Electronic Arts>Sims 3 Late Night.

I already tried downloading and running the Sims3 patch Log Viewer, and it says everything is OK, no red lines. The last file the patch is showing is 'Sims 3: Launcher' before it fails. Re Locating the "rtpatch.log" manually, when I search temp a folder called 'temp' comes up, but inside the folder, there are 22 folders, all with {}'s and they are all dated in the past 2 days. I can't find a folder called rtpatch.log in any of them. I don't have a CD as I downloaded it from the EA Store. When I try to load it through EA Download Manager it says 'your sims 3 game is incompatible with the base game'.

Run a registry cleaner to make sure. Then reinstall Late Night and attempt to patch. I believe the install files should be under C:\Program Data\blah blah. It may take a bit to find it, but if you downloaded from EADM it should be there.

Thanks! I will, but I'm just wondering if all my downloads, saved sims, families in the bin, and saves will still be there if I uninstall and reinstall Late Night. Cause I have some families in the bin I was meaning to move in and I just wanna make sure they'll still be there. If not, does anyone know where to find the family-bin folder (where the households in the bin are saved)?
