I've finally made an alpha mesh, but I can't get the waistline of the mesh to fit properly so I can get patterns to look right. I want the waistline of the mesh to fit the shape of the waist. Please help.

If you want to make the actual mesh fit to the waist, just make sure the vertices on the skirt match the vertices on the waist. If it's just that you can't get a patterned texture to line up, you'll have to adjust the UV map. In either case, it should be a fairly quick fix.
