I think you're talking about Sunset Valley 2.0. It has been revamped for all EP up to NL. It included the lots for NL, Generations, and Ambitions and redid some roads and neighborhoods for additional expasion packs. I downloaded mine from the EA Sims.com exchange. Trust me, I don't usually download anything from the exchange but it caught my eye on the CAW forum. |

I never played Riverview. It was too much of a country farm-land like town, and with no farm animals, what's the point in it? Even though I got Pets, I still haven't played it. I play custom worlds most of the time. |

My random legacy started in Riverview, I still use Riverview and Sunset Valley a lot ![]() And Tigga07, I think you mean LN, not NL. Late Night is the name of the Sims 3 city EP, not Night Life |

My main family is still in Sunset Valley. They've been there in fits and starts since the base game. |

I play Sunset Valley exclusively now, it's been updated with the lots from the EPs (I dont have pets...yet) I hate bridgeport all that faffing around with elevators and subways, riverview is horrific for lag on my pc for some reason and that is without updating it with lots from the EPs and twinbrook doesn't have enough development space which is a shame cos I used to love it, |

I've tried all the hoods but always end up back in SV. I think it's like TS2's Pleasantview. The other hoods are good for a while, but there's just something about the familiar names that keeps me attached and coming back. |

Sunset Valley has always been my favorite, even compared to Los Aniegos (which is a CC 'hood and I know I spelled incorrectly) which is my second favorite. I'm in the beginning stages of updating it for Pets, which I've decided to do in CAW this time; having been inspired by this: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=460914 . I have all EPs and SPs. Including one of each of the "special" lots is now impossible without some kind of additional build area. If all the RHs needed a seperate lot too, I'd probably kill someone... |

I've always played Sunset Valley. The other neighborhoods just don't appeal to me. Maybe when I finally get an EP I'll try another neighborhood. |

I only have the base game and WA so can only play Riverview and Sunset Valley. Most custom neighbourhoods I've found, that I like, always need some other expansion. I've yet to find one that I can use, that doesn't require anything past WA. |

I love Sunset Valley, especially the beach and all. But I recently moved all my sims to a new Custom made world for a few reasons 1) SV with the pre-mades Sims are growing out of control and the game is very laggy. 2) Ran out of space to plonk down new lot types that I want to use 3) A change of new environment. Might still give Riverview a try but it really depends on how much work I have to do to make it have the lot types that ship with the new expansions. |

Sorry but may I ask, if I were to play Custom World (Just checked out Harmony and my god it's amazing), will the number of Sims in the game slowly grow? Like, will there be Sims randomly moving in to empty houses? Because the download says there's only 8 families and 18 Sims, which seems kind of little to me. |

I used to play Riverview a lot because it's such a beautiful countryside, but unfortunately, it's also a neighbourhood with lots of annoying issues. Still love it though and intend to get back to it sooner or later. Twinbrook I like even better, I've been addicted to that neighbourhood for months and months, remodeling it with skyscrapers and such. It has such beautiful views across that lake ... The swamp area is a little limiting in a way, inspirationwise, because you can't really make it into a non-swamp area with all that fog, and so you can't vary the surrounding landscape much. And the lots in the city center are waaaaaay too small and too few. Also, it has serious issues, too, and as with Riverview, I just got sick of the lagging and stuttering after all. As for the other EA worlds except WA worlds of course: Sunset Valley was never my kind of thing, the colors are so very unnatural, the layout is not like a real city at all, just some houses and streets dumped into nowhere, and the pre-made lots IMO are plain ugly. I use it for testing things and also made it into a real nice custom world once with CAW (which I deleted by accident ...sigh ...). Brigdeport kept crashing on me due to the Ambitions-lots-problem, and although I like the city center with the skyscrapers and the great bridge, the surrounding landscape is so extremely ugly and badly done that I just can't be bothered with it. Barnacle Bay has some nice areas but no really good vistas which I care for a lot, and the same basic layout as Sunset Valley which is rather boring. I haven't played Hidden Springs but from the pictures it looks way too green for me. These days, I mostly play custom worlds. Plunder Island is a world to fall in love with, although it's a bit small; I also like SimRealtor's worlds a lot and have most of them. And Brooklyn Heights of course, now THAT is a real city! |

You can control it by using Twallan Story Progression to stop immigration when you feel it's enough, keep the occult/gender balance/population in check. I often limit my town to 50 because I want my sim to live in a close-knitted community.

Often played in SV, but i don't know if i do that again. However, i do like it and i also like most of the sims there. Except those goofy goth's then. Riverview doesn't attract me, although some families over there are interesting. Played with Bridgeport also for a while, but i don't like how it is built. I mean there is little space to add something new. Also everything is shared out there, which i don't like. I do like the area where all those VIP's are. And there are vampires out there. It's however also the only place with them. You don't see them in sunset valley. Other problem is the 4 or 5 stars VIP, also only in Bridgeport. In Sunset Valley when you have installed LN you see only some one star sims, like mortimer goth. Means you have to move some sims. I think i change either bridgeport or sunset valley or try out a custom world. |

I play Riverview right now. Mainly because I wanted to marry my founder off with one of the maxis sims. But i do like it. Some of the pre-made sims are my favorites (Constance, the Joneses, etc) And I do like the barn houses. I don't use custom worlds mainly because all the good ones require world adventures, which i don't have. Twinbrook is my favorite world in regards to how it looks, though. |

Yes. Well, sort of...I downloaded a completely empty version of Sunset Valley, which I then customized. |

I play Sunset Valley all the time. It's the only world that I know all the residents inside and out as well as the map. I waited until Night Life came out before buying it plus World Adventures and Ambitions. I've barely ever played Twinbrook (probably once) and actually didn't bother re-installing Riverview when I bought my new computer. (I probably should, though, if for nothing else other than the items that came with the world...) I didn't like Bridgeport because it was always buggy (neighbor sims getting stuck in their workplaces, all the vampires dying left and right, needing to use resetsim more often than any other world, losing bartenders/pianists/etc to the Great Void, etc) and because there was practically nowhere to raise a family (I had to build a home on a vacant lot) and only one or two child sims for your sims' children to spawn with later in life. Also, I find the sims in Bridgeport to be really ugly. Their faces are so... gugh. Their eyes are all slanted in the wrong ways and cartoonishly huge. Their cheekbones and other features are so exaggerated that they're almost caricatures. Plus, all the female vampires have their muscles and muscle defining bars all the way up, plus their boob slider all the way up, so they look like female body builders with Madonna bra cups tucked into their shirts. I always give EVERY Bridgeport native a makeover via Master Controller. Bridgeport is nice if you want to run around seducing vampires (shortly before they spontaneously croak) and gaining celebrity points, but that becomes really, really boring after a while. Personally, though, I won't be satisfied with a world until I finish making my own custom world, which won't be finished until all the EPs, SPs, and store content comes out. |

I use Sunset Valley all of the time, and don't even know why. Barnacle Bay annoys me for some reason, and Riverview bores me. Maybe Riverview bores me because I live in the country. I don't really play Appaloosa Plains either... |

With Late Night Sunset Valley became too small for me. I decided to give this neighborhood and Riverview a second chance, fired up CAW and changed the landscape. I added more lots, but it ended in a complete new Riverview and an ugly Sunset Valley. I wanted something new in my hoods and Riverview has now an airport, harbour and a beach. I startet creating my own world and finished it yesterday. We will see, what I will play the most. |

I've never played in SV. But, yesterday I did change that, started an assylum. Poor Morty has to deal with a bunch of crazy people. My current hood is a custom one. It's so tiny I'm running out of space so I'm currently working on re-building a new custom hood I downloaded where my Sims will move after I'm done with round 10 of the rotation. I find custom hoods much nicer than EA hood. Glendalough looked amazing and it was my first choice for the new hood but as many others, it also had the problem that you couldn't really place your own lots because the alignment wouldn't work so I had to ditch that idea. Now I'm re-building Neverglade. Twinbrooks I just adore. Currently I have one guy in Bridgeport but I don't like that world so much. I don't like how the high-rises work, and it's too big for my poor computer + it's ugly, except when it's all lighted up in the night. I'm going play this one guy there until the end but after that I'm going to stop playing. Some of the Sims, specially the vamps, look amazing, so I might end up taking them with me when my guy dies of old age. |

I think I prefer Sunset Valley to any of the other towns. For some reason, it seems like it has more of a story to it. All of the other towns seem to have more randomly generated sims in them, without personalities. I might think this because I played in Sunset Valley the a lot before, I know the rich sims, the poor sims... (Well, most of them.) Overall, I just think Sunset Valley is more of a basic town with basic lots. Basic terrain. Just basic. |

I play SV all the time! I've upgraded it to accommodate all the new EP's, so it's not kickin' it old school. I also play a version of Veronaville that I downloaded somewhere on the interbutts. I liked all the old 'hoods from TS2. Riverview is too sleepy for me, Twinbrook's has no room for expansion, and the subway system of Bridgeport makes me want to punch infants. |

Thank you, I'm too old and my Sims 2 and Sims 1 playing experiences start to overlap. I mean, it's not like EA is just redoing every expansion pack they made for previous Sims games. I mean why would they do that? Charge me another 50 bucks to play it all over again three different times . . .That would just be evil . . . |
