Hi Delphy,

I was trying to clean out 'My Links' under Usertools but it will not save any of my clean up efforts. I tried 2 different computers running Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit, IE 9, Firefox 7.0 and Newest Chrome.

The real problem is I can not scroll down to the logout area. Too many obsolete 'My Links' in the way.

Try following this link.

It's just a caching thing - the above link is just the normal Edit Links thing with a refresh cache thingy added to it. Thing.

Hi,

I logged out . Closed the browser and then opened it (Chrome) and tried to edit MyLinks and clicked the SAVE button. No changes were registered. I clicked RESET - no changes.

It's not a caching problem because I've tried it on 3 computers - at 3 different IPs, using IE 9, Firefox 7.x and Chrome on Windows 7 (2) and Windows Vista machines.

It does not save the fact that I tried to delete some obsolete links.... and I have a boatload that I am trying to clean out.

porky: And have you tried the link white posted in the 2nd post of this thread?

Tumblr - Yes, I have a blog. :)

<Corsix> Why 'mod the sims 2' when you can mod 'mod the sims 2'?

Hi Delphy,

Yes. I can open the 'edit my links' area and I can delete the fields that I want to get rid of, but when I click the SAVE button, they all come back.

Say I want to remove this parrot link ...

I can remove the link and the title and click the save button....

But it comes right back...

The links fails to go away on 2 different internet providers and 2 Windows 7 and 1 Vista OS on using IE 8 and IE 9 and Chrome and Firefox 7.0 So it is not a cache issue I can even reset the browsers but I can not save any changes I make to my links.

As a test, I even tried to ADD a new link. No go. It failed to save.

I have 39 links. I'd like to get rid of several of them and add some TS3 links but at this time, I have to use browser bookmarks. I don't know when this failed to function and it may have been down for some time. I only noticed it because I wanted to clean my links out when I was unable to go to the bottom of my 'mylinks' to find the logout button.

Java 6/29 and flash and all MS updates are current on my machine.

Thanks.

Voila, problem should be solved now (finally). I forgot to add a clear_userinfo() call to the end of the update quick links section, so it wasn't clearing the cached version properly.
