This is just for fun- how much CC do you have? Look in your Mods folder, SavedSims folder, and Downloads folder and tally it all up to see how much CC you have.

What do you think takes up most of your CC?

My CC: 2.5 GB (holy crap, I had no idea it was that much!)
The majority of it is hair, which I just adore, and clothes and makeup both tie for second.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I have a ridiculous amount of houses because I took a blank town someone made and created a whole city with it, with custom community buildings and different families with all kinds of back stories and histories. I'm still working on this particular town, because it takes so long to create such an in-depth location, but houses definitely come in third.

What about you? xx

I'm now down to 4.5 Gb. I had closer to 12, but I really pared it down when Pets came out and all the buy cc needed fixing. Still, I was down to 2.5 right after 1.26/Pets, but am already inching back up. I'd say I'm pretty evenly split between CAS and buy/build

Only 284 MB. I've only recently got back into CC for TS3. I remember when I had TS2 and all xpacs, I had about 5GB of cc then. Most of my cc is houses and clothes.

I have 28 packages in my Mods folder, most are default replacements. Skin, eyes, facial hair replacements and such. I also have a few custom facial hair styles and a few clothing packages for males, also extra body hair.

I guess I never really realized that men are spoiled in my game, probably because I prefer making them over women, and looking at them. Oh well.

I have almost none at all because I read somewhere that if you have over 200 package files, your game would start to lag. I was having lag issues so I purged almost everything. The lag barely improved. Now I got rid of one mod and the lag vanished. So I'll be gradually putting more back in.

Well... before the Pets patch, I had 12 GB worth of CC. After the patch and rig fix, I had roughly around that much too. Since I've had to do a clean install I've gone to all my sites and downloaded the updated versions of everything... almost and new items it's a bit less than that now. There are a lot of things I can't get again because of many artists retiring and not updating any of their items. But since you asked the question again - to date I have 6.36 GB of EA Store and 3rd party CC in my game - combination of Sims3Packs and .package files and growing Majority of the 3rd party CC is hair, makeup, and deco/clutter. The EA Store CC amounts to 2.78 GB.

I have 3Gigs and a half (Oh boy!), more precisely 2Gigs of store stuff and one and a half Gig of CC. Not counting saved sims since they're not CC, not mine at least. They're mostly nice randomized sims I save ^^ It's mostly furniture, then hairs right behind.

Surprisingly, I haven't gotten much CC for TS3 compared to the amount I had back in TS2. Mostly the reason why is because I'm afraid that having too much would screw up my game. But I do have a few mods and I'm starting to get a few CC.

246 MB of user created CC & mods...but mostly mods. I do have my fair share of store content, though.

I'm almost up to 5 gigabytes. I play with max settings and HQ mod enabled for my pictures. My game moves like a turtle. One of these days, it's going to crash D:

822 MB in my packages folder. Although I've taken in out of My Documents until I get a bettr computer. Since installing pets my laptop barely runs the game with zero custom content. I still download new CC though for when I get my new computer and can use it all :D.

It's funny to answer this again. I think my Packages folder has gone through big changes since the last CC question. I used to have only mods in months when started playing. Now that I've learnt about the dashboard, package merging, rig fix...I'm more confident to get objects, hair and makeup. Now it's 834 MB.
150 MB of them are in probation.
350 MB of hair.
50 MB of mods.

4.2 GB,

According to my custom launcher this works out to 982 installed packages,
I have no idea how many sim packs I have installed.
None of this is store content.
I play with my settings on highest but my pc started to slow a bit when I reached the 700 packages mark.
The problem is I have already scaled it down for pets.
This is the stuff I can't live without!

Hi my name is opiumgirl and I am a cc addict

I had to do a complete uninstall/clean install of my Sims 3 games last month. My vanilla game has no CC just EP's up to Generations and since I've installed GEN, I get this 30 sec lag/freeze almost everytime I play or build or do anything. My CC game which so far has only EA Store CC - no 3rd party yet is doing the same thing and lagging out every so often. I'm patched to 1.29 and I'm afraid to install any 3rd party CC (been replacing the old ones with the latest and greatest). I don't use mods so that's not it. Anyone have any fixes for this so I can install my 3rd party CC finally?

I also get a similar lag in CAS- every time I click on something to put on my Sim or switch between any tabs I have to wait about 1-2 minutes. It's really quite infuriating and takes me well over an hour, sometimes two, to create a CAS family.

I have 82.7 MB in my Mods folder, merged and compressorized into 5 packages (NRaas mods, Tuning mods, Objects, CAS, and Overrides). Most of it is objects/furniture. I have 456 megs of store crap in my DCCache, also mostly furniture. I have very little in my SavedSims since they're just sims I've made and usually I save them in the Library instead. My Library folder has 308 MB because I have to compulsively download every nice house I see. But the good thing about the Library and SavedSims folders is that they don't have any bearing on game performance (lag). I've been consciously trying to limit my CC (user made and store) but not doing a great job since there are so many talented creators out there. Deleted what felt like a bunch of stuff out of my Mods folder the other day and was really proud of myself, but it turned out to be, like, 5 MB, ha!

Oh ya... happens in CAS too. Exactly like you described which for me is another new annoying thing. Anyone know if there's a fix for this ... like another freaking patch to patch the patch?

My mod folder is 7.83 GB. I use CC Magic so no idea how many files that would be. I don't have a Saved Sims folder, must not have downloaded any Sims. And I don't keep stuff in my downloads folder, after it's installed I remove them from downloads, so no idea how much that would add. I know I've installed quite a few worlds, with cc. I imagine that would up the total some. By the looks of the rest of the answers, I've got quite a bit!!
