Hi, I know it's not related to BodyShop but since it should be very similar to defaulting an outfit recolour I thought people here could help me, and neither the "objects" nor the "building" forums seemed suitable.

Basically I want to default some wallpapers, and it doesn't work. To try and see what I was doing wrong, I downloaded one of Evanesco's default wallpapers and tried to do the same. I used this tutorial and made a recolour of the same wallpaper to get the texture name.

Evanesco's default wallpaper texture name seems to be "wall-victoriangreenstripewainscoting-kcr-dk_txtr". I can't find it in my recolour. If I do like in the tutorial and look at "stdMatBaseTextureName", I get "wall_9c36fc2a_txtr" which is gibberish. In the "file list" in the txmt, I find "wall-decogoldfan-w2coffer-md", which is a file name for another, unrelated wallpaper!! The same thing with the other wallpaper I originally tried to replace ('the growlster"): I get a gibberish "stdMatBaseTextureName", and "wall-decogoldfan-w2coffer-md" in the file list! Why oh why is decogoldfan randomly appearing ? I am sure I extracted the right wallpapers since the txtr shows the right textures.

This is of course preventing me from replacing wallpapers since I can't get the right texture names. Has anyone ever had this problem, and how do I fix this?

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help me, this is so frustrating! Please let me know if something is unclear.

You can get the texture names by looking in the game files. C drive: Program Files>EA Games>The Sims 2>TSData>Res>Sims3D>Objects02 (that's where the TXMTs are; you'll have to scroll down to find the walls)

Thank you for your answer! I have just now found another way around it (maybe easier): in homecrafter, clone the wallpaper, look in your EA Games/Sims 2/Projects folder for the .bmp file that has been created, and you'll get the right name! Then, in homecrafter, you can just click "cancel" and exit the program, tadadam! No need to import the original wallpaper in the game or anything, just cloning it and cancelling.
