putting a movie on Sims 2 TV? #1 |
| TrivialSim |
I mean, I know WHERE to put it, as in directories. But my problem is when I do it, it just goes in slow motion and sometimes ends before the end of the clip. I tried it will a 10minute long, HQ movie. Obviously, it didn't work. Then I went for the more realistic approach and created a small series of videos, recorded in SMALL size so they were very pixely (Like the actual video shown on the TV, actually, as you find out after extracting them). Maybe it was the format, it done it in Windows Movie Maker and exported as a .wmv and then I moved onto Sony Vegas and rendered it as a .avi, unfortunately, both attempts failed resulting in a slow-motion video on how to make grilled-cheese (<<...Well c'mon, what else was I supposed to do!?). ANYWAY, if anyone could tell me exactly how long each clip would have to be, the format and/or the actual file-size, as well as lengths incase I wanted to replace something on SBN, I would GREATLY appreciate anything anyone can do to help me. Thanks in advance, TrivialSim

This is just a shot in the dark okay? (Just guessing here) Perhaps your resolution quality changes due to making movies ( like the settings interferes with the display on your ingame tv. ) I read that it's advisable to change settings for movie making and gameplay. I noticed that if you do video capture small it looks like crap. I adjust my settings for Video capture Large and High I found on Youtube that I had to reconfigure my Video Capture sizes as follows: Small is 320x240 Medium 640x480 Large 1280x1024 (to configure: Computer-Localdisk-ProgramFiles-EAGames-Sims2-TSData-Res-Userdata-Config-VideoCapture) apply reconfigured file to latest expansion pack too. Original settings is Small 128X128 Medium 320x240 Large 640x480 About the length of time it runs, I don't know how to configure the settings. But they are definitely set. |

that home.scarlet.BE page gives me the " page does not exist" there are some things you need to ask yourself first about that movie - is the frame-size correct ? - is the frame rate correct? - did you tell 'the sims 2' you put the movie there? if size or rate are wrong it won't play but it can't play if the game does not know it is there. on that subject the sim-tv has a very specific movie type, it can only play that one type it can vary in length but the size and frame-rate are the key part ---- just my thought |
