I have a pattern I would really like to use. However, my category for misc. in CAS is glitched and this pattern doesnt show up.

I tried looking at other categories and all my other patterns show up fine.

My question is: how would I change the category for this pattern to Bricks and Masonry or something like it?

I tried opening the .package file from TSR workshop ... couldnt open it

In theory - open the file in S3PE (backup first!), select the PTRN resource, click Grid, Edit, then change the category name to something else. You will need to have a program (notepad will do fine) in the external text editor box in Settings -> External Programs.

Be aware that the category names aren't always intuitive - Miscellaneous is Miscellaneous, Wood is Wood, but Plastics & Rubber is Plastic_Rubber etc.

Also be aware that the problem could be that this is a Create-A-Pattern pattern, in which case you'll need to either install it as a .sims3pack, or extract the textures and recreate it using Pattern Packager.

Thank you Whiterider good sir! S3PE did the trick ( the pattern's category was in Korean so I just changed it back to English)
This pattern really completes my game experience
