Everybody has a pre-made family that they think is boring. (Well, most people.) What is yours? I hate the Bell and Aspir families, they're dull and don't interest me as much as the other families. |

For some reason I hate all of the Bluewater Village families. Now I'm a big pre-made fan and I love playing all the neighborhood and Uni sims but for some unknown reason I cannot get into Bluewater Village. And to torture myself I just keep attaching Bluewater to my hoods. Then I remember how crappy all the families are. I don't want to ignore them since I go by rotations but I dread playing them. I guess I'm just not into businesses so I end up selling all the businesses and just playing how I like. Then I start feeling guilty like I'm not playing them the way they're supposed to be played. I stopped adding the shopping district to my hoods because I just can't stand it. |

I find the Larson twins from Bluewater to be a bit difficult to get into. For whatever reason, I have trouble finding them dates with good chemistry, so they become workaholics. Which, unfortunately, has no effect on their relationships with any other sim because they don't have family other than each other, and I can just sorta see Jodie saying "Keep up the good work talking on the phone, Jason--there's no promotion potential in talking to each other! I'm off to skill." If you've got ideas what to do with them, I'd love to hear them. I find the Jaquets to be a lot of fun--whose house was it anyway? and they always have conflicting wants/fears, plus they get sucked into the Pleasant family drama--Gilbert hires Lillith to work at the bakery, and I can just see Denise thinking "Well, she's in her senior year of high school, let me just straighten her out and when she finishes college she'll be fine daughter-in-law material." Denise rolls a want to be best friends with Lil every time, and Gil usually does as well. |

I find them all boring. The only pre-family I kept in my hood was the one with the 6 orphan kids from Belladonna, I think... I play in portuguese, so I don't know their names in english. I actually decided to make the oldest one (a teen girl) a good witch (therefore immortal, according to my own rules!) as a reward for a lifetime of sacrifice in behalf of the younger kids!

I haven't gone through all of the premades hoods with apocalypses (it's on my list) but so far the Burbs in Pleasantview are SO boring. So spice things up I killed Lucy's parents. She must now fend for herself as a teenager that sells flowers. |

I find most of the sims and families in Desiderate Valley and Riverblossom Hill pretty boring. I have tried to play those two ´hoods and lose interest almost immediately, but since I have played them for such a short time I can´t mention exactly which families that bores me the most. And I don´t know at all about Belladonna Cove - I have probably only played that ´hood for 1-2 hours in total. Can´t say I have given the shopping neighborhood much of a chance either. The three base ´hoods however are so much more appealing to me. If I would have to mention the least interesting families in those neighborhoods it would probably be Regan and Cornwall Capp (Veronaville), Loner (Strangetown) and Oldies (Pleasantview) - but neither of them are that boring. I like to play with maxis made sims, but right now I definitely prefer my own little sims. |

Rundown by neighborhood (just my opinion) Veronaville--All of them. Strangetown--Smiths and to a lesser extent the Curious brothers (sometimes I delete them all [safely] except Vidcund). Pleasantview--Dreamers, Burbs, Oldies Riverblossom Hills--Roths, Viejos (I delete them except for Andrew and Jacob), Wan (I make Patricia and Cleo into townies). Desiderata Valley--All except for John Mole Belladonna Cove--Carlos Contender, Baldwin, Rutherford, Cleveland, Cordial, Cho |

I like all the Maxis families. *shrug* Specially when you play mega/uberhoods, it's really fun to interweave thier stories. If one family gets boring, I just spice their story up a bit or take a break from their house - but boredom can also happen to custom families if you play long enough to burn out, so it's hardly unique to Maxis families that some sim personalities don't appeal to some players, or that the gameplay sometimes gets repetitive and uninspiring. |

I only ever played Pleasantview with the pre-mades and only really enjoyed playing Don Lothorio and the Broke household. I despised both the Caliente sisters and ended up killing them off I also disliked the Pleasants and hated playing them. Everyone else I found boring and generally only played my own Sims even before I ended up creating a custom hood. |

All of the Riverblossom Hills pre-mades are so boring. I always switch to Pleasantview or Belladonna Cove within 30 minutes cause there's no drama in Riverblossom. All the families are so unoriginal and just weird. |

The daughter is cool but I HATE the wife. She is one of the ugliest sims I've ever seen. I also cannot stand the Ramirez family. Or whoever it is who owns the furniture store. Too much makeup on the wife.

I have plenty of drama in Riverblossom Hills when Alexandra asks Gabe out on a date (and subsequently remarries him)...and Patricia happens to be at that lot. LOL If I actually bother to play the Roths, I typically have Jules win Jacob back for more drama (and once they had a third child). And if I play Leod McGreggor...well, Cleo has a crush on him, but he's with another Sim.... I always ditch Rose and Daisy Greenman via Theo's deleter and marry Jason off to another Sim. I can't stand Plantsims. I've tried to play the Veronaville Sims. I personally can't stand the Sims OR the houses (wouldn't have been so bad if there were no seasons). For Strangetown I make it so Pascal never got knocked up by an alien, and in fact, I have a no alien pregnancy mod. |

I only like Pleasantview, Strangetown, and Bluewater sims, for some reason I could never get into playing other hoods' pre-mades at all. So they're all like strangers to me. But in my pseudo-megahood game all pre-mades were turned into townies, because I can't imagine playing so many households, it would take months to finish a single rotation. Quote:
If my memory serves me right, their bios hint that they want to become businessmen, so I'd make them own their own business. To make it a cheaper start it would be a home business. This way your problem with having no friends would be solved quicker, too, they'd keep slowly building relationships with many other sims from selling interactions in addition. |

I only dislike all those families/ sims which I feel have been dumped on the player, that is toward the later EPs when players were already worried about too many sims making the neighbordood unplayable. What was the point of them? I find the whole Bluewater Village itself quite redundant including the families. I hated the Ottomas family so much, I killed them immediately before the twins were born. The toddler and the girl got taken away by the social worker. I didn't even know at that times that the twins had corrupt genetics. Thankfully no harm was done. What was the point of dumping the Goodie family on us, not to mention a boatload of AL townies. Did EA really think the players will need more playable sims at that point. Also what was the point of the two most ill behaved dogs Danny and Sarah Crittur. Not to mention that Sarah's pregnancy got bugged. Generally I always try to give my sims healthy happy lives. The "forced families" are the one I use to play in the complete opposite way, breaking them up, having the kids taken or killing them. That is a way of rejecting them, since of course they can't be deleted the normal way without messing up everything. I don't hate any family in the premade neighborhoods, as in choosing to play a pre created neighborhood, I'm choosing the families that live in them. |

The Ottomas twins' genes aren't properly set. They don't recognize Peter as the father, but Samantha as the mother with some random other character (mine always seems to be a stray dog...) O.o However, the article also says that the Seasons patch has fixed this glitch.

All the pre-made families that's rotting in the Sim Bin who doesn't affect any relationship panels or storytelling whether or not you play them. When even the creators don't bother to locate them to houses, why should I? |

Out of Bluewater Village I find only the Landgraab and Jacquet families interesting. The rest go bye-bye. I also find the Kim family (Pets) abysmally boring. (I like Cyd Roseland, and he's a great match for Tara Kat--after I get rid of her ill-behaved kitties. Since you can only put her lot down once and that's it, in order to play her again I just exported her in SimPE and took note of her personality points.) |
