I have had this issue since a few patches ago, and it still isn't fixed. Now that every EP keeps adding new venues, I seriously need to relocate some spaces BUT! Alas, here's my problem:

Sometimes when I'm in Edit World in the neighborhood I won't be able to select a lot. I can click on the blue icon and change it properties, but when hovering over it, the mouse pointer doesn't change to a hand (like it normally does).
Since it doesn't change into a hand I can't select that empty lot to move or delete it. No matter how many times I start a "New Game" in the neighborhood it will always be the same lots that remain unselectable. Even Sunset Valley has at least a few of these!

I removed all my mods and the problem persists. I checked with a friend's game and in his game the lots I can't move are selectable in his game. It's very frustrating as I don't know why this is happening.

Anyone else had this problem? Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome!

I have all Ep's, patch 1.32 (but like I said, I've had this problem since the very first Ambitions patch). The adresses seem random. Now in Sunset Valley it's the addres where the school is located, and the Criminal warehouse (that I've checked).

I used to puzzle over that till I realised you can't do it while the lot is occupied. Also I think with community lots they have to be dezoned first. Something like that anyway. There is some criterion about which lots you can move/delete etc.

It's weird that stuff like this seems so hard-coded. I wish mdoders could poke in there and make lots placeable absolutely anywhere and movable with stuff on them.

Inge: oh, I forgot to say, yes I bulldoze them first. That's why I think it's a bug. By dezoning, do you mean zoning it to residential? I have even rezoning the lot to residential before bulldozing, and after bulldozing. Used Twallan's mods to reset the lot, to purge the lot of any and every possible setting. But no go, if I bulldoze the lot and it's empty, I'm still unable to select it. Whereas other lots I can select...

I have done some more testing, and SO FAR it only seems to happen with prebuilt EA lots that have Rabbitholes on them (but not all of them... the school, the criminal warehouse and the science center are the ones that I tested and didn't work). All of the residential lots I tested were fine. But then I didn't go through *ALL* of them...

Am I the only one who has this issue then? The thing is... I even switched computers since the first time I had this bug and now... so it's a totally different setup I have and I still have this bug...

It's not hard-coded, and it can be modded. Routable zones (where lots can be placed) and unroutable zones (where they can't) are part of the world data and can be modified in CAW. That's how EllaCharm3D made all her world routing error fixes.

And lots ARE movable with stuff on them... you just have to plop them onto a "plot", and place a plot first where you want to plop the lot

But yes, Nukael, the behavior is quirky... if you really want to get to the bottom of it I would advise heading over to the CAW forums (under Create), because that is where the people with the best understanding of low-level TS3 world behavior are to be found.
