To delete your post, edit it, then scroll down to the "Delete this post" tickbox.

(Although come to think of it, that may be disabled in this forum, to stop people deleting threads full of useful info just because their problem is solved - hard to remember when I can delete anything)

Or, to discourage posters from creating needless threads willy-nilly. search and follow FAQs before you start a new thread, not after. Or when you get no response despite multiple views.
Which is usually a sign that the issue has numerous threads on it or an FAQ dedicated to it. Or, yes even a Sticky!
