Hi I have been a rabid down-loader for years but this is my first attempt at making something for Sims3. I feel there is a lack of older more rugged men in the game and as far as I'm concerned Gerald Butler is the hottest out there. So I tried to make him. I am stuck.I can see he is not right but I don't know what to do about it. I would love all help anyone would care to give me, I am just starting and I am not thin skinned So this is what I have so far: ![]() |

Not a bad start, but some really big, clear pictures would be helpful - right now they're too small to really see what you've got going. |

sorry I know, I find getting pictures on here more difficult than making the sim for now I'll just try this:I'll have to wait for tech hubby to come home before I can get them side by side. |

From what I can see right now, his nasal bridge should be a bit thinner at the top. Also, the nose tip and nostrils should be played with a bit more. Try decreasing his nostril definition and size and increasing the nose tip. Or maybe not on the tip. It's really hard to tell exactly how it should be tweaked but we should see less of the nostril openings and they should blend more with the rest of the nose. If that's helpful. Chin should angle in more from the jaw and be a little longer. I am a HUGE Gerard Butler fan (I swear it's the accent) so I will make sure to keep an eye on this.

thanks Heaven! I made some changes to his jaw and I rebuilt his nose from scratch. I also increased his nose length and as a result had to play with his mouth and jaw a bit because they ended up looking really odd. He looks very different in CAS, but honestly I can't tell if he looks that different in game. So let me know if he is better or not. I have a couple of pics from slightly differing angles, so hopefully you can see the changes to his nose. ![]() I really really hope the pictures are better this time because I really struggle getting them to display right |

I can definately see GB in the sim, but I would recommend fixing a couple of things: - Eyes should be a little smaller. The shape looks as right as you can get it though. I know it's not possible to make a hanging eye lid like Butler has. - Jaw needs to come a little lower. And chin can be a little longer aswell. - Lower lip should be thinner. - Both eyebrows and the haircolor should be lighter. - I would recommend using some lenses without that dark ring around the iris. |

Thanks guys! I made his eyes a tad smaller Lowered his jaw and made his chin longer, I think I might have overshot on the chin- he looks a bit horsey to me. His hair and eyebrows are lighter, better or not? I also played with his mouth a bit more. @silverio1975: I tried making his ears longer because I agree with you. Unfortunately when I do that his overall ear size also increases and he looked like dumbo, so I changed it back. some pics of the changes: ![]() @ malfoya: Thanks for your suggestions. I agree, his eyes have bugged me from the start, I tried contacts, but I think he looks a bit wild eyed. Let me know what you think ![]() I had an idea to change his pupil size on the default replacements, because I think the very large pupil is more of a problem than the line around the iris. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as pupil size sliders? All I can find is a slider to change the pupil into stars and slits etc. Anyway a pic of the two different eyes: ![]() Thanks for all your comments and keep it comming ![]() oh and very many thanks to the kind soul who re-sized my pictures for me. I am forever in your debt! |

Getting closer! Good work! I think the nasal bridge needs to be a little thinner and, maybe, down a bit. Try turning the tip of the nose down a little. Move the mouth up so there is less space between the nose and lips, but leave the chin as it is and see how that looks. The jaw is just a touch wide and even a little too low now. Try making the hair a little less purple/red and more gold/brown to see if that color looks closer. Looking forward to an update! |

hi guys! here is an update Thank for the feedback SimmyRN I narrowed his nasal bridge and brought it down Turned the nose tip down Brought his mouth up, I thinks it looks a lot better but it can maybe go up more? Narrowed his jawline Changed his hair color- I also realized that I completely suck at coloring hair ![]() A pic- just one note-I changed his eyes back to the default replacements as I was really not happy with the contacts. I will keep looking for a solution ![]() Also finally a profile shot- I apologise for the reference pic but of the two I could find this was the better one: ![]() Keep the comment coming and thanks for helping with my sim

-bring his cheeks down and make them fuller maybe? -I think you need to tilt his nose down a bit, try using nose rotate? -are you using the pink skin tone? try using the brown one. -jaw needs to come down and the chin up to even the jawline out. |

I think the mouth could go up a bit more. You'll probably have to shorten the chin some when you move the mouth. Increase the nasolabial crease if you can. From the side view, the nasal bridge needs to move up -- sorry -- so that it is basically about at the top of the iris. Also, if you can, make the nose more of a straight angle up and down when viewed from the side. Now it's looking a little hooked. I agree that the nose tip could probably be turned down more. Hair is much closer. Good job! |
