A cyclic redundancy check is an error detects any accidental changes to raw data.

I was figuring out how to complete my installation, well nearly I did it but I fixed it properly and it works truly well. =)

If you have crc errors popping up on your Sims 3 installation, don't worry =) I have an easy way how to fix it.... =)
  • 1. Install your Sims 3 - EP or SP using your disk or a downloaded Sims 3 installation first on your computer.
  • 2. If you're installing it and you have crc errors popping up.. Press "ignore" and just keep installing it. But first, type down the path directory of the error and or just memories it and then after you can press "ignore".
  • 3. If it installed successfully, that's a good thing but don't start playing the Sims yet... If you play it, it will crash.
  • 4. Okay in your disk or your downloaded Sims 3 installation. You must copy GameData & Caches folders in your disk or your downloaded Sims 3 installation and import them to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\(Any SP or EP) It depends which EP or SP you have installed in your game.
Overwrite them and then you're done...

Test it and I hope it works for you who have CRC issues...... =)

Thank you.

In other words, the solution is to follow the installation problems FAQ?

The one that's been around since Sims 2, you mean? Who'd have thunk?
