Join Date: Jun 2006 Posts: 845 Thanks: 50607 in 49 Posts 27 Achievements View My Journal	I feel like spamming the forum by posting the second time about the same problem I have. I though that being unable to connect to the chat was one-time issue, but it happens again and again. From the response of other users it seems that the chat is working just fine, it is me who has the problems with it. Live Java chat and mIRC showed me different errors - from "Unable to connect" to "Connection denied", the last one was "Refused to connect". It's been more than 24 hours since my first try to connect. I've tried almost everything I could think of to fix it - updating all software and drivers, setting up routers and turning off antivirus programs, messing up with chat settings but nothing helps. Am I banned from MTS chat or something? But no, seriously, I would like to know if there's really something on my end or it's just some kind of bug on server.

The problems started to show up on my end at about 6PM CST, Tuesday, April 3rd. So about Midnight GMT. Anyway, in the meantime, I offer the services of my IRC server for anyone who wants to chat. Here are the connection details: Server/Host Name: virtueandjoy.net Port Number: 6667 (alternate port numbers: 6668, 6669) After connecting, join the #simstalk channel. There is no browser based client. You must use client software such as MIRC, X-Chat, IceChat, or Trillian. As a disclaimer, I must note this server is not in any way affiliated with MTS, beyond the owner (me) being a member on this site.

It means that when a person joins the chat they can get an idea of a) when the last person spoke and b) what the ongoing conversation is about. Lee's chat uses the same software, so she'd be able to give you help setting it up, if you needed any. However the down side could be that it uses a database, and this might stress your servers if they don't have much spare processing power left.

If necessary, it could be powered by plaid boxerbriefs or white boxers with red hearts. I've definitely noticed a change in the site's swagger as it goes down the street since the switch to "goin' commando."
	I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short. Perhaps someday I'll have leisure time back...
